Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Leo! How are you? This is a very good take. It sounds clean and defined. There is only some room to improve timing since you tend to play some notes a bit before the beat. This issue seems to happen mostly when you cross strings and one of the reasons can be that your foot is not tapping tight with the backing. Instead of helping, it can generate more problem if you don't follow the groove with your foot.

Well mate, you are doing a very good job with this one, just keep on practicing trying to adjust this timing detail.

Hello there matey!

You are playing clean and you have a good tone! Now, Gabi is right and aside agreeing with him, I'd go for recording over the original or even playing alongside the original to get a good grasp on the timing and groove and also, tap your foot alongside the playing.

You will become more acquainted with the piece and thus when you will want to re-record it, your timing will have greatly improved. Aside from this, if you decide to record over the original, you will most likely be able to notice those slight timing issues.

Keep rocking!

Cosmin

Hi Leo, this is a very good take.

Your picking and hand co ordination are perfect. The tone is very clean and there is no unwanted string noise.

In many places, you are rushing slightly so the notes are happening slightly in front of the beat.

If you can sort that out, then this piece would be perfect !
