Hello Guys! As you can see in the homepage I started with a German Power Metal series and the first band covered is Helloween. Let me share some info and video link from them for the guys that don't know this band.

"Helloween is a German power metal band founded in the mid 1980s by members of Iron Fist and Powerfool. The band was a pioneering force in the European Power Metal movement and their second and third studio albums, Keeper of the Seven Keys, Pt. 1 and Pt.2, are considered masterpieces of the genre.
Since its creation, the band has released thirteen studio albums and has undergone numerous line-up changes. Former members have gone on to found numerous bands, including Gamma Ray, Iron Savior and Masterplan." from wiki.

First album with Kaii Hansen in vocals: (1985)

With Michael Kiske on vocals (1987/88)

With Andi Deris on vocals: (1996)

Enjoy it! and let me know which other German Power Metal bands you would like to see covered. wink.gif

I saw them as support band for Iron Maiden in '87! Mind you, it wasn't called 'Power Metal' back then, everything was just Metal!! \m/ \m/

Ahh man. Helloween. One of my favorite bands and definitely my favorite power metal band! The first song I heard was "Can't Fight Your Desire" and it's still one of my favorite songs. So powerful! I first heard it (and the band) in a tricking video, you might see it quite fits here, haha biggrin.gif

Also, Paint a New World solo is my favorite Helloween solo. This song is just pure power. I played this song with my former band and it was the wildest thing on the setlist biggrin.gif

Also, Dreambound is another one of my favorite Helloween songs, gotta learn to play it someday!
I'd kill to watch them live smile.gif

You gotta love GERMAN POWER METAL! Helloween are truly Epic. They had some legal troubles here in the states with their record label and a judge BANNED them FOREVER from releasing more music in the states. LAME! So we have not had much of their work here since Keeper. They still Raaawwwwkkk!

For others, how about Gamma Ray? Maybe Even Scorpions but that's not really PM smile.gif

this song rocks!! they are not the most original band but they sound like the best old school German Power metal! (Helloween, Gamma Ray, Runing Wild)

These are all cool bands, my first encounter with metal is through these bands, along side Metallica and Maiden.
