Hey guys !

I'm learning Piotr Kaczor's "Guitar Loves Piano", and found a very nice lick which I have transposed to fit a backing I made exclusively for it ! When isolated, the lick sounds a lot like the intro of Sweet Child o' Mine, and you're probably gonna throw stones at your PC's screen, but then again, it's not something I call purely my own composition ! smile.gif

I hope you guys have Guitar Pro 5.0 ! smile.gif

This is just the intro, but I think the rest is going to sound a bit less like the Guns N' Roses song ! smile.gif I called it "Summer", but it's just a name that jumped to my mind, as it has quite a happy tune. I believe the song is in A major, standard tuning (E) smile.gif

Hope you guys like the song, and please comment on possible improvements (the bass line is a bit experimental, so I'm expecting a lot of criticism on this one) ! smile.gif I must insist on the last file being the most "recent" one ! tongue.gif

Alexander biggrin.gif

EDIT 1 (Summer (2) added). Slight change in the melody in the 8th bar ! smile.gif
EDIT 2 (Summer (3) added). Slight change in bass and added some 16 bars of clean backing guitar !
EDIT 3 (Summer (4) added). Slight change here and there. Added some more lead and such...

Well it does sound a lot like guns smile.gif But don't worry add some interesting vocals, and maybe change the progression a bit and it will be great! smile.gif

Sorry, mate - my fault. It means "Guitar loves piano".
btw: you should continue to work on "Summer" composition, I really like it.

New draft uploaded ! Please check it out and tell me what you think ! biggrin.gif Be gentle when judging me... My licks are rather desperate. I'm going to make some parts without modulations all the time, which will make the composition much easier ! biggrin.gif This way I can stick to ONE key, and not three smile.gif

I'm not much of a Guns'n'roses fan, so I am not the best to judge. But keep it up! I'm looking forward to hearing the full result. smile.gif

I don't blame you for disliking my composition ! biggrin.gif It's very mediocre, and I'm probably just going to give up, to make some time for other things, like actually playing the guitar ! biggrin.gif Any critic is a good critic ! tongue.gif
