Greetings, guitar users and abusers !! Welcome to my latest collab and yes, it's a VIDEO Collab !!!
Gitarrero will be soiling himself in excitement at that !! 
I've nicked a sinister sounding backing track from a previous lesson and resurrected it like a heavy metal Dracula into the Demon Slayer Collab !
Here be the backing track:

(following info is from the Tritone Terror lesson..)
Just 2 chords - Em and A#6/-5 (-5 means flattened 5th). The second chord is built from A#, which is a Tritone in relation to E. However, it's quite interesting that the rhythm guitar only plays the note of A#, so how did I get that chord name ? Well, the keyboard plays two chords.. Em and Edim. The combination of the the Edim chord (E, G, A#) and the A# on the guitar and the bass mean that the root note is really the A#, hence the chord name.
For the solo, I decided to mainly use the E Pentatonic Minor and add the occasional flattened 5th. You could, however, use the Edim or A#dim scale over the A#6/-5 chord as they share the same notes. (also known as the whole tone-half tone scale)
So, over the Em part you could go the traditional route and play Em or EM pentatonic or you could experiment with some other E derived modes.. Phrygian dominant, try chucking a major 3rd in there as well as a flat 5th for that Geroge Lynch sound..
And for the A#6/-5 you could stick to Em Pentatonic with a flat 5th or you can use E diminished or A# diminished scales 
Please remember that I will need both video and separately recorded audio from you so I can mix it in !
I recommend to upload audio (preferably mp3 of you can as it's smaller) mp3, wav etc to the thread.. and include a download link to the video footage in a pm.
Deadline for the collab will be Saturday 28th July !! Let's slay some Demons !!

Excellent.. I know you said you were going to give me the worst take this month but I'm hoping the backing track will tempt you to do otherwise....

How am I supposed to play a solo on this when I have a REC take of it not so long ago which is in my head and fingers and which I can't force myself to forget since that is probably the best solo you can play over this ?

Now I did the audio. I changed the little tapping part a bit and put an ekstra note in the finishing riff.

After "Todd the Torturer" tortured any possible demons out of me last night in the video chat I recorded a new take.
I used some of the crazy tapping stuff from the chat, so maybe I was possessed by the Todd demon.
And just for you Ben, I put on my Demon Slayer costume...

Here's my take. I'd like to refine it a little more but I'll be pretty busy over the next few days and wanted to go ahead with it since the deadline is getting close. Sounds like I had similar ideas as H4H, just not executed as well.
Ben, I've attached the audio files below but what is the best way to get the video to you as far as sites where I can put the video and send you a link to the file?
The other takes sound great and I know Mr. Higgins will add his special touch too so I'm looking forward to the final product. Have a good one guys!

Very cool Greg congrats. I enjoyed it, it is tasty but also pretty wild
Unfortunately I can't contribute to this collaboration I still can't record myself so that I have good quality audio and video together.. I hopefully will fix that sometime soon though..

I likey a lot. When we're done with this collab, there will be no Demons in this land. All the Exorcists will be out of a job..

Here is my take. Do you accept Mv4? I'm not too good with this video stuff yet. I put a weird effect on the video cause it came out way darker looking than I thought. I will porabably make a new one before deadline

This video file is listed as Mv4. Cosmin had a problem with it when I sent it to him for a collab... I'll PM you different file versions like last time and you can use whatever works.
My daughter can't verbally tell me to stop so she'll just tug on my shorts.

As is customary after a collab, here is some feedback for y'all :
Gitarrero - nice use of Crazy Train again I like how you've gone for a full fire breathing take this month, full of AP, pick tapping etc. I would suggest to try to avoid having long pauses in solos as the listener can tell that you're 'preparing' for the next lick .. but that's all - good work !
H4H - Really cool to see you using some legato licks with occasional picking. Is some of it economy ? Can't tell. Anyway, nothing to really criticise or suggest really ! All good
Gregc1 - Love this take.. that lick at 1:24 is a beast ! Nothing to add - a classic solo from you
DeGroot - I love the beginning phrases.. I'm sure I heard a Testament lick in there ? Good mixture of slow and fast phrases which keep a solo interesting. Only thing I'd add is to watch out for sharp bends but that's all !
Ulrik - a very hypnotic and atmospheric take ! Love that video too Only suggestions I'd make are to try and time your phrases so you're hitting your intended target notes on strong beats and also to work on your picking/fretting co ordination a bit. I'd also repeat the same thing I said to Christian about leaving long pauses. Nice to welcome you to this collab !
Bleez - Nothing much to criticise in your take. If it were me, I probably wouldn't end notes so abruptly like at 3:14 without making it a harmonic or a slide, something with more impact. Either that or I'd make it a bit longer with some vibrato or something. I really dig those opening phrases, they're really anthemic and quite Metallica !
Overall, I really loved your input guys, I think we all made this a really sinister and cool track ! I can't see any demons around here now after we gave them a serious ass whooping !

I think this is how I do it:

At string crossing, there are four pick strokes (I don't see why the fourth is necessary, really, but this is how I do it). The rest is legato, regardless of 2 or 3 notes per string.

Yeah that's quite similar to the kind of things I do... it works though doesn't it ?
