So true

Great words of wisdom.

Implement them and be a wise man too!!

This is so true! Its really amazing what you can actually do if you want it really hard. I always believed success depends only on the person itself and not on external factors like "luck" etc...

I have a list of 10,000,000 reasons of why I love everything this man does, and each word he speaks in this video simply adds to it. Fantastic video, thank you for sharing. smile.gif

Excellent!

On a side note my gardner also does Steve Vai's house (although he lives about 10 miles away). When my garndener saw one of my guitars he asked me if I had ever heard of a guy named Steve Vai.. I said yes, he is great. He then said... I know nothing about his music but I will tell you he is the nicest guy you could ever hope to meet. I thought that was cool.

I think this is directed more towards accomplished guitarists than to relatively inexperienced guitar players. During your first couple of years of playing, everything is a weakness biggrin.gif

I guess I'm doing good then, because I'm ALWAYS imagining myself playing songs well. I imagine myself playing Canon Rock so perfectly, and ripping it up like a pure shredder with sweeps, legato, whammy screams, and precise alternate picking. biggrin.gif

Very inspirational, indeed, Mr. Vai. smile.gif

Exactly. I agree 100% with you Bogdan. The only things holding us back from our goals and dreams are our own fears and mental attitudes. Become the change you want to see in yourself. Visualizing a goal is the first step to making it become real.

This makes me think of the book 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Cuelho. If you haven't read it.. then do so. It's translated into loads of different languages so no excuses for not getting a copy! wink.gif Mr Vai would approve !! wink.gif

And this is one of the reasons why he is my guitar hero! Its so great to see that legends like that take time to help others. We can all learn somthing from this. biggrin.gif

I saw this on youtube a few days ago and it blew me away! Such great advice! Not just for guitar players, but for life in general!

This is the nicest and most inspiring thing I've ever heard from a musicican. A lesson on life itself. If anyone wants to be truly successful in any part of his/her life, one has to stick to every word Mr Vai said here.

Thank you for posting, Daniel.

Lots and lots of respect for Vai for all his work so far, and the work he is doing now. I like these videos a lot, and he is passing on the most important things that he learned through the years to new generations. I think this is for every respect.

The man is truly a master of the instrument and pretty wise in general on the game of life. I'd like to read more about his philosophy in general. I wish he'd right a book!

Practice!
