Hey guys im looking to buy a recording pedal/hardware phraser and im not too sure what is the best option.

see i have looked at the Boss Rc20xl the Boss br600 which im leaning a bit towards because of the drums also on it. the boss rc 50 is out of the question 1 because of the price and ive heard it doesnt sync too well either. ive looked at the line 6 jm4 i think it is and the Digitect jam man those being the sort of ones similar to the Boss 20Xl but im not sure what too buy if you guys have any advice or suggestions on what to get im happy for all suggestions itll help heaps cheers

Boss Rc20xl should be a very good and high quality looper pedal and many use it...So its kinda safe bet.But that Boss br600 is portable recording station and its pretty different to the looper pedal mentioned...I would go with the RC20XL for looping and playing everything on your amp, but if you can use PC for that job, I would get a recording interface like Toneport UX1 and make my loops on PC.

If you plan to use the loop pedal with your amp, then a pedal would be a good solution. I love using my loop pedal, it is a valuable piece of gear. However, if you want something to record with, it could be better to get a good audio interface and make your own loops. This will require some more knowledge but you will be able to make complete songs. If your goal is just to have something to record simple phrases and harmonies that you can use for jamming on you amp, than loop pedal is great solution. I recommend boss RC20 as well, it has all you need in pedal form.

Both devices are cool.If your brother needs those drums and recording capabilities of br600 then ok...Its cool to have such a portable recording device...You can connect it to headphones/speakers, I'm not sure how would it sound on your amp since it only has line output.
