Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi man, this was a good take. There are a couple of points to consider:

- In the riff starting at 19:00, you sound as if you're letting your fingers off the power chords a bit early. It's hard to tell but it just doesn't sound quite as powerful as it should.

-When you play the single note riff an octave higher at 1:11 it doesn't sound as tight and confident as the lower version. It's mainly your fretting hand that is not quite 100% here.

Overall, very strong, just need to sort those areas out. smile.gif

Hey man!

When you wear a Dimebag t-shirt, your playing can't be nothing else but awesome biggrin.gif Now, aside Ben's observations, I have nothing else to add. I like your tone too, so just take a bit of time to isolate the parts that Ben is mentioning and focus on getting them clear and clean on their own until you can play them at the original speed. Once that's taken care of, place them back in the context and make sure the whole piece sounds as close to perfection as possible.

Keep rocking!

Cosmin

Hi Kaaba! I have to say that your take is killer! Congrats!

Your take is very enjoyable to hear because your tone fits perfect with the backing, and your playing is very good. You play everything tight and with aggression as the lesson requires it. I also note that little issue marked by Ben and also that the last pattern could be even more consistent, but the overall is very good. This lesson is not easy because power chords are changed really fast, but you did a good job with the different riffs, and the transitions between them.

Keep on the great job! smile.gif
