GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ What Other Instrument Do You Play?

Posted by: Raph Nov 30 2008, 01:48 PM

I'm doing a poll asking: What Other Instrument(s) Do You Play? Just answer and in a few days, we'll see the results. Oh and I updated the poll with the Other choice so if your instruments isn't listed, then you can vote there!

I voted Bass, Keyboards and Vocals. biggrin.gif
A few words about my choice:
Bass: I can only play the notes and a bit tapping. I never learnt that instrument and I only had it a few times in my arms... So, nothing special.
Keyboards: I was never taught, I learnt everything by myself. I started playing a month ago or more (apprpoximately). I can´t play really much and good, but I like it. I know "Clementine", the first part of "Für Elise" and "Turkish March" and some other (not many). biggrin.gif
Vocal: I like singing, but it sounds bad. biggrin.gif But what does it matter? I like it and I won´t stop. smile.gif

Bass, keyboard and vocals. In fact I'm more of a bass or keyboard player than I am a guitarist.

I use to play the tin whistle (Irish flute), which is not listed smile.gif but haven't played in years, I must dig it out one of these days and try it again.

I voted none smile.gif I got no skills with any other "real" instrument than the guitar.

Voted keyboard. I use to play the oboe and got up to Grade 3 on it but gave it up because I was bored and never practiced. That's when I took up the guitar. smile.gif

Wahaa, I'm the only one on the violin biggrin.gif

I can do simple lines on Bass, and some trivial Keyboard work, I don't think that counts as knowing to play the instrument at all tho smile.gif

Posted by: Dejan Farkas Dec 2 2008, 01:17 AM

I can also do some simple bass lines, some basic rhythms on drums, and a bit of piano smile.gif

bass:D Every guitarist can play the simplest form of bass I think, when it' s powerchords only for example, you just take the root ,but that' s about how far I can go on the bass biggrin.gif Playing bass with fingers is the hardest part for me, they' re just not made for bass playing that' s why I use a pick when playing bass.

Wow! I love those kind of sounds from the flute. They' re so peaceful, I loved the soundtrack to The Lord Of The Rings Online too, it has these kind of flutes in it! Record yourself with that, how about, you play Bonny:D That' s an scottish song, called loch lomond, played by AC/DC. I think it would sound awesome.
