Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Picking Arpeggios by Ben Higgins

A lesson I've been working on a long time now. I play it each day to warm up. That sounds great. Though, it's still not perfect. The stretches are always difficult to my poor little fingers (they have suffered a lot this last two weeks, thanks to Ben) ;) And when I concentrate on the stretches, I forget timing...

You do not have to be too self-critical, this sounds quite decent. I don't see any big mistakes in timing, maybe a couple of delays during the transition between difficult chords, but if it doesn't seem, this is quite demanding lessons, so generally very good! Keep rocking !

Hey again smile.gif I say this is very good! Aside from some small buzzes and drier notes due to the awkward positions, your timing is good. smile.gif Nothing more but time and practicing will bring this close to perfection! Congratulations mate!

Hi man! This lesson is really good for warming up so I recommend you to keep on using it and after some time you will master it. It's not a bad take, there are only some notes that doesn't sound or sound muted but the timing and tone are good.

I think your tone was pretty good! Timing was ok tho... When you are practicing it I would strongly suggest to use a metronome at a very slow tempo you will see much more progress than just relying on your inner timing! I think this lesson needs more work to sound perfect! Also I think it was a very good idea to add it into your warm up routine! It's a very good lesson to keep playing over and over!
