The lick is pretty difficult, but I think I can handle it. It won't sound as good as yours, but therefore I'm beginner tongue.gif . I have latency problems, and that just kills me. I just tried another record, but the timing is realy bad...that sucks

So, since Layla isnt working, I thought we can change the song. So there are to options , we can work on an original song of our own , I have a couple of ideas, or we can pick another cover song.

Is there a specific song you would like to play Kaz and Alex?

Please let me know so we can start working a.s.a.p

Bye.

EDIT here was a sentence which I shouldn'te have said rolleyes.gif

I'll PM smells about it (I'm his "pm buddy") and ask him to try and get some more people in the VB. You do great work Jeff, you realy helped me, but I can't handle all the more tricky parts and Alex just does nothing...

For a new song? Well I first thought of Still got the Blues, but I think that song is bit to hard. I'm not very into the blues, but I'll give it a look!

BTW I use reaper, ASIO doesn't work for me... I have already made the buffer smaller, but then still I have round 80 ms latency. Maybe we could do Hey Joe??

Actually I think the hole band sucks...That's rough said.

I'll PM smells about it (I'm his "pm buddy") and ask him to try and get some more people in the VB. You do great work Jeff, you realy helped me, but I can't handle all the more tricky parts and Alex just does nothing...

The whole band are Alex , you and me. So? Thats why Im trying to do something different. Who's jeff?

It doesn't have to be a Blues song , I was thinking in Another Brick in the Wall by Pink Floyd, its a nice song and its easy to play.

If that song doesn't work either , we will try it with a song of our own, and if that doesn't works we will try it with another song , but we have to finish one song , and see if we really suck or not.

So lets go to work.

Hey Joe is an awesome song , we could try it , but I think we have to start with an easier song. If you can play it , lets go for it.

Hi Kaz

I got your PM and I`ve replied but seeing your above post here prompted me into jumping in the thread here also, I appreciate your frustration but try and remain a little patient, Coffeeman is trying to help you here and if you listen to him you can learn a lot from him.
remember that this was originally set up as an "intermediate" band so he is trying to pick and let you choose songs that you can play so you can be involved smile.gif

Just as a suggestion, what about some rock n roll type songs, corny I know but Jonny B goode? something like that?

Keep cool Kaz wink.gif

Sorry about it Smells and Coffeeman. My appologies (I can't write that word right tongue.gif )

Coffeman: I listened to the Pink Floyd song, it sounds prety nice! The solo is prety long, so we could split it up and both do a piece of it!

Smells: I saw the the Jonny B good, I think that has some harder parts in it, buy maybe Coffee could do those parts and I could do the more easy ones!

Personally I like RHCP a lot, and if we search an easy song, just to begin with. We could do Californiacation, it's realy easy so we could be done with that sone within a week or two. Maybe that's good to get started!
I also love the Police, but I don't know how hard those songs are to play.

The structure of the song is a bit different then normal. I'll listen it some more times and also with the GP5 files.

Hey guys,
I've been speaking to Smells recently and he said there is a possible space in this band for another guitarist and was I wondering if I could join.

I think Smells has spoken to Coffeman who said it was fine but I thought I would just check with everyone else first if it is OK for me to join.

There are some short uploads which I posted a while back here which may give you an idea of my playing ability and recording and there is also a small collab I was in here.

I understand that you about to start work on Another Brick in the Wall by Pink Floyd which is totally fine with me, I'm pretty open to what music I do.

Let me know what you guys want to do, thanks. biggrin.gif

You are more than welcome dude! I listened to your recordings and you are just in the right spot for our band. Im working on the BT for the song. So start prcticing the song and tell me with which part do you feel more comfortable, same for Kaz, we have 2 clean rythm guitars, one riff distortion guitar , in the chorus we have one clean rythm and on distortion rythm , so lets go to work and let me know guys.

hmm.. I'll try the rhythm guitar part which is first in my GP5 file. It's he riff which uses mostly the same chords, but with diffrent rhythmic pieces every time. Do you know what I mean? The chord was this if I remember right:
eadgbe
557765

Cool, thanks a lot guys.

And yes that is the chord Kaz, it's Dminor.

As for me, I really don't mind what I play in the song. Just tell me which part to learn and I'll do it.

I think the solo is just a bit to fast for me tongue.gif . so that's for you or coffee. Then in the chorus, there is the Dm chord but isn't there also a clean guitar doing another chord? And what needs to be played on the intro? I think this will be my main problem, the song structure. For me it's like it has no structure tongue.gif We'll make it into something good!

Hey Kaz, which GP5 version of the song are you using? Maybe if I find it I can help you out a bit with the structure of the song.

Are you using "Another Brick In The Wall (ver 5)" from Ultimate-Guitar?

Sam.
