Re-stringed and can't get the tune right, what so ever. Anyone got some tips?

Your guitar will go out of tune quite easily with new strings unless you do this with them

Lift the string up about an inch from the fret board and hold it there for a few seconds. The pitch of it will have lowered. Tune it back up to the correct and do this again until it doesn't change pitch when you raise it.

Did you change string gauge?
Floating trem or flat against the body?
What tuning?
What string Gauge?

There are several guides on the internet for this, basic trick that always works for me is: tune the highest E string to about F then tune the B a bit lower than C, tune the G again a bit lower than G# and so with the lowest E string you should tune it about right. That way you are compensating for the drop in tuning of the already tuned strings during the tuning of the next strings.

This basically takes a while to 'know' the right things to do, but once you get the hang of it, it is not really that difficult anymore.

Fixed it now. smile.gif was a floating tremolo, but i needed to tighten the strings inside the body.

Thanks for all the suggestions tho. And sorry Guitarman, i didn't know there was Floyd Rose that didn't float. smile.gif

Yes, the sPrings has to be tightened (so the tremolo is paralell to body in correct tuning) and also balanced.
