I just couldn't refrain from making a little analogy between your name and Connor Macleod, hope it won't bother you 
We have a lot of work to do, so let's try and combine rhythm, lead, ear training, phrasing and articulation so that you may be able to become memorable in time.
We can start by analyzing some lead lessons here at GMC and then figuring out what sort of things you can use in your solos 
what say you Connor?

Haha I was actually named after him, so I love it!
I'm ready to go. Just so you know what I am going for, my favorite lead guitarists when it comes to composing overall are Dimebag, Marty Friedman, Slash and actually Synyster Gates from Avenged Sevenfold. He has a very interesting approach and his solos are definetly memorable. Bat Country, for instance, is memorable. Just like Dimebag has Cemetery Gates, Floods and Walk. Marty Friedman for me has Tornado of Souls, Hangar 18 and The Killing Road (the arpeggios in there are awesome!)
So where should I start?

I'm ready to go. Love Slash so this will be a good practice for me to start with! I do have a question though. A lot of these videos, for example, will say that a song is in the key of A. Then I listen and there is a section in A and a section in C. Look at Gab's Slash Thread. When a rythm switches tonalities, that is when I switch to the other scale right?

I have the Slash lessons down. One lick at the end of the Punk solo lesson needs work on how cleanly I play the lick, otherwise those lessons have been learned

I will take a video ASAP. I am waiting for my laptop to be fixed. When it is, I can even send you my recordings of some of my rythms, songs and leads.
It only took me a few hours to do the Slash lessons because the first album I ever got for rock and roll was Appetite For Destruction. Remember how I said my solos get old? Yeah, it's all them pentatonic licks lol
Whatever you would like me to learn while waiting on my laptop, I can't wait for the next lesson!

Love how fast you respond! It's like a lesson a day
This type of lesson is slightly below my capabilities. Let me give you some solos I can do note for note so you know my level of speed/skill.
1-Cowboys From Hell (Note for note)
2-Sweet Child O'Mine (Other than the run right before the wah pedal kicks in I have it down)
3-Symphony of Destruction (about 90% seeing how I never got a good tab and I guess when it comes to the ending arpeggios)
4-Cemetary Gates (Not note for note, but the speed in the end I can hit)
5-ANYTHING by early Kirk Hammett. Pentatonic licks at that speed are no problem. I can do Ride The Lightning, Master Of Puppets, One, etc. I would rather learn pentatonics at the sonic speed of Zakk Wylde! lol
Does that help? I'm still going to learn this lesson though! Always liked Marcus' Neo-classical lessons!

So sorry for the delay, been very busy with my band and work.
I tried to create a video of me playing but it's not letting me send it to you. So I will give you the next best thing. I have my band's songs on Reverbnation. I wrote them by myself and these tracks were done in 1 take. Solos, rythms, everything.

The solos in Inner Chaos and Sides of Me are not written, just improvised around the basic pentatonic scale. I was trying to mix Dave Mustaine and Marty Friedman lead styles together XD
March The Sands has "Trade-off" solos. But seeing as it's only me, I tried to do different styles of leads each time I switched.

I actually took a video on my Droid phone and tried to attach it to my response.
Thanks for listening to the songs. I am working on the Slash and Zakk Wylde style lessons now. Picking every note in those pentatonic speed runs is very difficult!
Also doing the neo-classical videos

Hey Connor! Can you upload them on youtube and then post by embedding the youtube link here on GMC. Are you trying to do it from your mobile phone?

Wow how drama makes time fly! haha.
I am so sorry for the delay, some drama with my band concerning my age has caused me to be unable to have any free time! Apparently many musicians get jealous if a 20 year old can get into the bars and play so they are calling all of our venues and informing them of my age :-(
However back on topic, I am still trying to figure out how to get videos on youtube. I am not very computer savy. I am going to try and record a video of me playing live today in Ocean City. If it doesn't work I will absolutely have a file to you by tomorrow night!

I have recently been reverting back to learning Megadeth songs. Working on rythms again. I spent so much time away from Thrash Metal that I lost a little bit of stamina in both hands XD

Hey man! No way! That sounds really lousy... I mean it's just not fair man. So, do you mean that if you are in the band and you are under 21 you can't go and play?
Regarding youtube, here's what you have to do
1) Make a youtube account - or do you have one already? Assuming that you tried to upload in the past, you must have one
2) Click the upload button in the mid upper right part of the youtube page
3) Give your vid a title and make it public, or unlisted - that is, if you want only me and you to see it
Have you tried these steps?

Yeah if I'm in the band and I'm under 21 I can't play. This means I'll strive to improve, become a better guitarist and work on Megido's debut album. I hope to have it out by my birthday on January 2nd.
I will do my best to have a video on youtube for you by tomorrow night :-)

Alright mate! This sounds like a plan not to worry, there's less than a year till the 2nd of January, but enough time for you to grow your skills considerably!
