I don't use it but I know many people that do. They are very happy with it. It has some nice plugins that come with the program. Basically it does the same job as any other industry standard recording software, just depends what you find the most comfortable for yourself.

I use Logic, my band singer lend me is macbook pro with Logic on it so I could experiment with it. I know nothing about recording but it seems that in my band I'm the one who know the more about recording. I haven't experimented with a lot of software but I really like Logic for now. The plug-in are fairly easy to use and it is fully compatible with all the line 6 products and all the midi keyboard.
I have found a lot of information about Logic in Youtube, I have watch a lot of tutorial. I also really like the drum machine that is include. Like I said I am really not an expert and there is plenty of functionality that I don't understand. -------------------- |

I use it from time to time..
I work at a community house two nights a week helping kids who play in bands with various things.. Equipment, Logos, Posters, Websites etc. We built a studio too, so the bands can record their demos for free We have a Mac and use Logic there, great program! I like it a lot, but I'm a Cubase kind of guy so I'll stick to that at home for the time being.. But Logic works very well! |

I never had a Mac but I have been using the PC version for some years. When they stoped supporting PC's I switched to Pro Tools, but back then I never had any problems with Logic.

David....what tutorials? I am trying to get up to speed on this myself. I just started with the "getting started" pdf included in the Logic help file. It takes you through the basics. As far as interface, I have an old midi keyboard and use Guitar Rig Session to record guitars. Haven't started recording yet though, I want to know exactly what I'm doing first! What computer are you on? Is it a Macbook? -------------------- www.youtube.com/Wallimann

Yeah, they work great! David....do you have the capability to make a video of what you are seeing on your computer screen? If you do I would love to talk you into helping me out with logic. I'll even buy you the program....it only costs like $35. I know you are a busy dude so if you can't do sweat it. |

No need to pay..
I would love to help, but right now my knowledge of Logic is non-existant! I just got the software and read the first 5 pages of the manual... Do you have the pdf files with the getting started? If not, I'll be happy to send that to you... -------------------- www.youtube.com/Wallimann

Maybe when you become more familiar with it I'll hit you up. You at least know what you are wanting to do....I don't. You just have to figure out the mechanics in logic.....I on the other hand know ZERO about any of it. |
