I helped my friend move yesterday who is also a guitar player (and a much better one than I am I might add!). At the end of the day he said to me "Thanks for helping me...in fact, why don't you take that Peavey head and those 12" speakers!" He said he doesn't play this rig much anymore, so he gave it to me! It's not a Marshall or anything...but it's great for some old school metal tones. Anyone know anything about these heads?

AFAIK it's a Solid State amp from the early 90's. It's supposed to be a Death-Metal amp!!

He played it through them. I haven't played it yet...he hasn't found the wires or footswitch for it yet - they are still packed away in the move.

Like Staffy says, might work well as PA speakers.

Kind of nice a head an old Peavey. Them old ones are built like tanks and seem to last forever. I had one 20 years old which I sold a couple months ago, after some electric spray it was working ...well not perfect but quite alright for it's age.

That was a nice gift indeed smile.gif

PA = Public Address system. In other words it's the Amp/Speaker combination that you'd use in a Gig situation!
