GMC Forum _ GMC Virtual Bands _ New Virtual Band

Posted by: Iluha Feb 2 2009, 11:54 PM

Hey guys, I would like to open a new virtual band!

I just want it to be a cover band, so level of playing isn't improtant, just to have some fun, getting some recording and mixing experience along side.

So if you want to record covers with me, leave a note smile.gif

I would like to give this a try for lead guitar biggrin.gif

I'm just not sure if im good enough to do something like this yet, and i haven't learned any full song yet..
Here is a link to my MTP thread with alot of lesson videos in it.

Do You have ideas what covers You would like to do? I am unsure of my own skills both in guitar playing and recording.

Hey, I'll do it I'm a begining-intermediate rhythm player. And a little above beginner lead guitar. The hardest song I can play is master of puppets, but not second solo.

So, guys what songs do you want to cover?

I don't know what you guys like but since we don't have a singer I guess it will be instrumental.
so what about YYZ - rush? (might be too hard)

Considering that the MTP program was launched faster than I expected, I am unsure if I will have enough time to participate also in a Virtual Band project.. So as there will be two guitarists in the band without me, I better "quit". I just don't want to fail in other members expectations eventually.

This sounds like a great project, I wish I had more time right now! I like the Rush Idea. If your up for a project in the summer I'd be interested in joining. cool.gif

Dude if I am able to play in 3 real bands, and still have time for a virtual one, I'm sure you can find some time tongue.gif

Also I will send the other member a pm about the time in case he doesn't visit the forum between now and then.
