Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi again mate!

This is another great performance from you. You have a very good rhythm metal technique, very precise and consistent. I note that your donwpicking on the intro section is not totally relaxed and could be even tighter, I mean, you seem to be doing a lot of effort to each the tempo. The reason is that your movement should be smaller to make it more efficient. Just compare your right hand on that part with my version and you'll see that my motion is smaller. Try it and you will be able to reach even faster tempos.

Other than that, your take is great! Keep on rocking.

WOW man this is a perfect take! smile.gif You are very good rhythm player, your timing is extremely tight.
Gab advice regarding economy of motion is good as it will help you reach higher speeds. I do like the way you played this one as it allows for more "energy" and "attitude" to come through. This attitude when playing is so important and it makes a huge difference and you got it man! smile.gif If you start feeling that you can't keep up with tempo, try making smaller movements when picking notes.

Hey matey,

I see you are back again to amaze us smile.gif Nothing shorter than a 10 and indeed, I'm with Gabriel on the relaxation part. Sometimes, it can be something related to a mental state. I usually just practice something enough times so that I will instinctively know what's next and thus stay relaxed and simply play the piece. I know it may sound silly, but that's all there is to it.

Keep rocking!

Cosmin

This is excellent, man.

The guys have mentioned about working on down picking to make it more relaxed. Fast down picking is hard and takes a lot of stamina but I think you did a great job. Timing is perfect and your palm muting continues to get better !

Well done.
