Hi guys! Once again we have a collaboration based on requests. Many of you wanted a lesson inspired by Sabbath so I decided to open a collab based on a genre that was totally influenced by Black Sabbath first albums. I'm talking about Stoner Rock!
This backing track is in A minor and has basically 3 sections. The first one that keeps A5 chord, a second one with a progression based on A5 - G5 - F5 - D5 and then a third part where I keep A5 again. You can use A minor, and also some modes like A Phrygian over the only "A5" sections.
Stoner_90_bpm.mp3 ( 1.43MB )
Number of downloads: 194Tempo: 90 BPM Deadline: 4th June Important info: This is an audio collab so I will be expecting two audio files from you in .wav or mp3 (320 kbits) formats. One file that includes your playing with the backing track and another file that only includes your guitar to let me mix it with the other ones. You can post all the takes at this thread. If you use Soundcloud, please remember to allow downloads. Who is in??? This post has been edited by Gabriel Leopardi: May 16 2013, 03:38 PM -------------------- Visit my Personal Board

I'm in.
Exited to get home and do a couple takes. I want to work on modes. So I'm gonna do some Phrygian solo, this will be my first time using modes other than Ionian and aeolian. So with Phrygian while the Am chord goes for several measures would it be right to solo in fmajor and just call it APhrygian? So with Phrygian while the Am chord goes for several measures would it be right to solo in fmajor and just call it APhrygian? yes! Both scales have the same notes, but it's important to focus on notes from A minor chord when you are playing A Phrygian. Remember to get the characteristic sound from the mode. It's not Jonas Brothers...but I'm in anyways. Maybe it's time to get back to real music for a change hahaha... So you are serious about the Jonas Brothers collab... Hells yeah, Im totally in Ive not been able to do a collab for ages but I'll spark a fat doobie and wander into the desert for inspiration Great!! You are welcome!
