i've been working on this song for about a month now and this is what i've come up with. This was my first take when i started recording, and i know there are a few mistakes here and there but i figured there were more right notes than mistakes so i just kept the take. i used the guitar pro tabs for the majority of the song but the solo and outro i made up. the solo is improvised(like most of my solo's) and i had been playing around with the outro for a while. and if you're wondering why my tone sounds so good its because i'm using Marcus Levandell's tone through my PODX3 live haha. i'm thinking about playing this song for my audition for my school's band so please give me all the feedback you can. Thanks! biggrin.gif

well i just bought guitar rig 3 and it sounds amazing, just the presets alone already sound better than the line6 stuff i was using. but now that i have it i was wondering if anyone else has it and can give me some tips on getting some good custom tones. i dont know if this has already been adressed in other threads so if it has, a link would be great. thanks!

ok so here's the deal i currently have a line6 toneport gx with gearbox software. i dont really like it and am looking for something new as far as digital playing goes but i also want something that can work well in a live situation too. so far i've been looking at the line6 PODs and Guitar Rig 3 but would like to hear about any other devices that might work out in this situation. i dont really like how you really have to work hard just to get a decent tone out of line6 equipment but i like how you can just plug directly into an amp to play live, and i like GR3 because it does'nt seem that hard to get a good tone out of it and it has a pedal and potential to be used live but i would have to buy a laptop and i hear that using digital stuff live is'nt a very safe bet. so my question is: whats the best thing out there thats easy to use, has good tones, and can be used both to record and be used live? lets say price is'nt an issue what would yall recomend to help me solve my problem.

ok so i was wondering...can you turn a fixed bridge guitar into a tremolo guitar and if so is it even a good idea or will it just ruin the guitar?

[edit] i now realize i should have posted this in the gear forum rather than gear reviews but i was tired and could'nt see right lol
