"Always start practicing new techniques as slow as you can. If it doesn't sound good slow, it won't sound good fast either."
HOLY WORDS!
This may sound like obvious advice , but than again lots of people try to push their limits and "skip" the slow part and they end up playing messy a not good at all..Take your time when practicing , speed will come in time definitly..
Heh, my playing is a testament to this! For years I skipped the slow part, I am better at it now but old habits die hard, so make sure you get into good habits early!
This is, without any doubt, the very short bible of tone.
Agreed, this is THE key to successful practice IMO
Once you can play it slow, speed is just around the corner
This tip is the road to success
This is definitely THE most important thing that every player should be aware during all practice sessions.
Absolutely true and important. I have seen many students not following this rule because they wanted to show off and impress their friends, and it just leads to a very crappy technique. ALWAYS start slow.
