Hi Undying!! Welcome to your Gab's Army thread!!

Could you please tell me a bit about you, your musical tastes, influences, strengths and weaknesses? I would need some videos of you playing rhythm and solo guitar, so please post your best material here. If you have some music or ideas of your own, also post them here. Also let me know how you think that I can help you and what are your expectations for our job. You can check the other Army's thread to discover the different modalities of this project.

The principles of our Army are:

+ Improve your technique
+ Make music and solos
+ Have fun
+ Destroy the enemy (hahaha not realy just kidding... )

Hey Gab,
thanks for taking the time and mentoring me!

Well, I've been playing since a few years. I took guitar lessons for 1 or 1 1/2 years, not really sure. But they weren't that good. Didn't got alot from them. So I started playing by myself and then discovered guitarmasterclass.net, thankfully. biggrin.gif I'm listening to metal mostly and of course classic. cool.gif Also some Gothic, RnB, Pop... Alot of music. wink.gif Sometimes I'm in the mood of wanting to transform some Pop/RnB/etc. songs and play along with them.
Some favourite "Bands": Demon Hunter; Hope for the Dying; Alter Bridge; Oh, Sleeper; Beethoven; P.O.D.

Here are two vids of me playing. Like I said to Cosmin, I'm not happy with them. dry.gif Not straight and some playing mistakes.
https://rapidshare.com/files/2981631427/PICT0752.MOV
https://rapidshare.com/files/596553476/PICT0777.MOV

I want to learn to improvise, play lead and rythm guitar. Write own songs, solos and stuff; Also transform popular songs for acoustic and e. Maybe some acoustic playing, bu that's not priority.

If you need some infos or stuff, tell me.

So, let's destroy the enemy!

Hi mate! I saw your videos so now I have an idea of how to start! Let's work on some warming up and endurance exercises that I shared in my Intensive Technique Course and also with a Rhythm guitar lesson to know exactly what things you have to improve.

The exercises can be found here:

Warming Up & Endurance

You will find the tabs and explanations in that thread. Let me know if you have any other question.

I can suggest this two lessons for Rhythm. You can work on both or choose just one and post your take here.

Black Sabbath Lesson

Open Chords Rock Rhythm

Finally I would like you to choose one of the active collaborations and join. Download the backing track, work on a solo a post your ideas here. We will work together on that. Please tell me which on you choose!

That's all! Let's start working hard mate! smile.gif

The "7 Exercises for Warming up + Endurance" are pull offs and tapping right?

I've choosen the "Open Chords Rock Rythm" lesson. Hopefully I'll get take the vid this weekend. So schould be up at Saturday/Sunday. If I got the time I'll do the other lesson as well till this weekend. Both lessons are pretty cool.

I've choosen the "Driving at Night" collab.

Hi mate! Those exercises are only legato, not tapping.

Great to know that you chose that lesson and the collab! Looking forward your takes. smile.gif

Sorry for the delay. Was busy. So here is the link: https://rapidshare.com/files/2791114778/OpenChordsRythm.MOV
And again. Not happy with it. laugh.gif But the more often I tried I did more wrong. Lightning conditios aren't that good either. If you need a new take tell me. wink.gif

Now I'm working on the collab.

Hi mate! Thanks for the link. The lesson is sounding good but it has some things to fix. The most important one is the timing and the duration of the chords. You don't follow the correct rhythm and sometimes you change to the following chord sooner that you should do it. I recommend you to practice the lesson over metronome to adjust the timing. Also check out the last riff because it sounds a bit noisy. Use the palm of your right hand to mute a bit the string.
