I have a Macbook Pro and that's it ok, there are two options. The first one would be to buy a recording interface like M-audio fast-track and use your amp with a mic in front of it connected to the m-audio (or connecting directly you guitar to the sound card and use a software emulator like Guitar Rig). The other option would be to get a Line Pod that works as guitar emulator and also as recording interface. It's not the most professional option to record but it makes the job really good. what do you think? -------------------- Visit my Personal Board

I like the option of a mic the best Great! Fast Track and Fast Track Pro would me my choice. Both has great quality for the price. The difference between both is mainly the quantity of inputs. Let me know which one you choose! -------------------- Visit my Personal Board

It's a versatile mic so you can use it for acoustic, other instruments and even for some vocals. It's not the best option for vocals but it does the job. -------------------- Visit my Personal Board

It's not the best option for vocals but it does the job. Would I need to get a mic stand so I could have the mic in the middle of the amp or could I just lay it in front of the amp ? -------------------- Never miss an opportunity to play

Would I need to get a mic stand so I could have the mic in the middle of the amp or could I just lay it in front of the amp ? Yes! It would be important to have a stand to put the mic in a good position. Check out this video where you will find an interesting tutorial about this: -------------------- Visit my Personal Board

I use a Line 6 Pod HD 500 for the lessons and also as a multiFx to play live. With my band I play with a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier head and a Marshall 1960b cabinet. I also have an old Marshall mod 8080 that nowadays I only use for practising at home.
The only secret here is PRACTICE. -------------------- Visit my Personal Board

My Hand is sore today from playing so much !! and that rarely happens to me . I think it is because I was playing alot with my pinky finger on the low E string and it is quite a stretch . Also I play standing up 99% of the time and then I find it harder to reach the low E with my pinky . Oh and btw you got some nice gear -------------------- Never miss an opportunity to play
