Kris,

I'd like you to go over your sound settings like you list under lick of the day for example. Maybe there could be a 101 lesson or discussion here on how to get a good guitar tone from your equipment. What is your reasoning behind your bass, middle, and treble amp EQ? Plus how does your guitar tone knobs interact with your amp EQ, etc. It might be useful to both guitar veterans and novices like myself besides mastering playing technique alone.

Thanks,

I posted the following in the News section located on my Yngwie Malmsteen 100% fan tribute website. I thought some of you might want to check out this great Yngwie guitar solo lesson:

"Please visit Troy Grady's website for the most in-depth Yngwie solo analysis you will ever see anywhere! Featuring video, audio clips, and guitar tab; you can read his study of Yngwie Malmsteen's fiery first solo break from "Now Your Ships Are Burned". You will definitely get an education! With Troy's permission, I have converted the text from his complete Yngwie guitar solo lesson into a downloadable PDF version for offline viewing and printing! Troy Grady is now in my Links section, so be sure to check it out for this lesson plus many others that are a part of his site."

My biggest problem with barr chords and power chords is my left thumb. I never thought about it before because I can barr fine (so I thought) but recently noticed that my thumb sticks out to the side parallel to the middle of the neck neck instead of in line with my first or middle finger like you are supposed to. It points toward the headstock if you see what I mean. I'm working on correcting that but its throwing my fretting fingering positions off a little as I retrain my thumb to lose the bad habit! When I do open chords and solo lines it is always in the right position.
