Happy New Year Muris hope you had a gr8 time.

I'm still practicing your beginner solo in D but I've been trying to mix things up by learning your other solo http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/phrygian-soloing-beginner/ which I really love smile.gif

Is it possible to have the backing track for this please so I can post you a take?

cheers

Muris,
If you use the same backing for your Advanced lesson I would like it as well. Thanks. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Yeah me too. Not quite nailed the sweeping and alternate picking section at full tempo as of yet....but its work in progress.

The thing about the lesson I like is the commentary explaining how the solo fits together gives me more of an understanding how to create colour and mood in your solo. Tho of course it helps being a gr8 player like Muris too smile.gif

OK, Muris, I got this to some point... it still has flaws....
Especially I have a problem with a quick fingers setup for the pull-off&bend section - I have to prepare myself a moment before it, if I won't do that, the bend is bad...
And then my second problem with this last section rolleyes.gif

Anyway, have a look at this one... only mp3, no video yet - still can't play this at camera wink.gif

That was nice effort Utak!

Still seems like you somehow learned section at 0:15 kind a wrong,
first note should be C as 8th note and not Bb, Bb is just a grace note
and it's duration is as quick as possible, right before C note.
And one more thing, no matter how hard you think you need to prepare
yourself, this still sounded like you're playing in a hurry!!
No need for that, relax, play it on time or be even kind a late
but faster always sounds kind a bad.
Good effort, keep working and please let me know
when you do more recordings! smile.gif

Just to keep you up-to-date with my progress on this one.... cool.gif
How about that? Is it better? It's still dirty as hell, but I think it's much better than a previous one...

That was A LOT better actually! smile.gif

There are still few spots when you're kind a in a hurry,
those are NOT fast parts tho so all you need is to relax
and do not think of it as tricky part, you can execute it on time
without playing in a rush.
Final sweep section causes you most of the troubles as we can see
so I suggest you to play that section VERY slow many times
until that whole sweep thing gets under your skin, sort of speech.
You're doing great, effort is easy to notice, keep it up and update us!! smile.gif
