Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Ben's Vibrato Odyssey 5 by Ben Higgins

Hi guys,

So I worked on the feedback I received with take 1 and here is the result! Let me know what you guys think! smile.gif
I am not quite sure how I can show this in the thread title, but to be clear: this is my 2nd take on this lesson.

Hi Lester! Great to find this new take of this lesson. I can say that the improvement is very important! Your vibrato is now much more controlled, you are feeling more comfortable with the technique and the unwanted noises disappeared! Ben's vibrato is killer so there is still room to get closer to his amazing technique, but you are definitely on the right track. Just keep on practicing over the original lesson and your vibrato will continue improving.

Keep on the great job! smile.gif

Hey mate smile.gif

We have discussed this in your mentoring program already, so you know my thoughts wink.gif Gabi is right about the idea of practicing this lesson often to get the interpretation as close to Ben's as possible, but this is of course a matter of time spent feeling the piece and internalizing each and every note's intonation smile.gif

Keep rocking!

Cosmin

Hi Lester, this is an excellent take. I can see and hear the differences between speed and intensity on the different notes.

From here you can continue to work on this technique and apply it to your own playing. I really recommend using it on higher strings for an even sounding vibrato.

Try to see how fast and intense you can make the vibrato. There's more room yet to get it sounding even quicker and harder ! smile.gif
