Hi Luciana, i have decided to start practicing my singing because I have been unable to find a vocalist to work with on my solo project so I would maybe like to try using my own vocals.

The problem is i am a pretty bad singer and I don't really know where to start to start improving. I think I can normally hit notes ok, but I just feel my voice doesn't sound very good.

Could you maybe give me some tips on where to start to improve and maybe point me to one of your lessons that would be a good starting point.

thanks very much,
Andy

Hi Andy!

I recomend you to start with the Singing Lesson 1 - warming up. This is my first lesson at GMC and it's about hitting notes but with an "M". This is very useful for people who doesn't have any vocal technique, because doing humming ( MMM) will never damage your throat.

Then you can follow the Singing Lesson 2 - warming up. For improving your warming, the second one is a little more difficult because you start to open your mouth and warm with vowels.

And to finish the first level I recomend to learn to breath with my 3rd lesson: Singing Lesson 3 - Breathing

So, breathing and warming up are your first issue. Try to manage those topics and then you can pass to the next level.-

Hope it helps...

Luciana
