Hey Gab! I was thinking of working on this cool sounding AP etude. With the feedback from the Muris REC video I can continue to correct some of my AP technique flaws and have some fresh music to work with! I'm sure this one will keep me busy for a while as it is difficult for my level. What do you think? Maybe you have something else in mind too?

That lesson is fantastic! I really like it! If you find it inspiring you can go for it. It will take some time to master it but if you keep on working on other things at the same time you won't lose time. Other lesson on the same level that is a bit less musical but very effective is this one:

Here are the ideas for the collab that i mentioned in the PM. Some of the ideas here aren't as tight as I'd like since I only had about a half hour to put this down smile.gif

I did have a different ending with a lot of pull offs and stuff but I couldn't get it down... I put some sweeping over it instead. Well, I guess we will take it from here. Thanks Gab smile.gif

Hi mate, the overall idea for the solo is ok. However there are some notes that must be fixed to make everything sound in scale. This problems appera at 00:19 and also in the last sweeps. Also check the notes at 00:09 and 00:11. Besides that adjust the fast alternate picking passage and you'll get a very good solo.

Ok mate, I'll look into the scales and make adjustments. I'll try to post another revised take this weekend.

Excellent. Remember that there are two scales that work ok. E minor and E harmonic minor. The minor scales works good always excepting when the B chord appears, there you have to use E harmonic minor.

Fantastic!! Now every note is in key! Well done! smile.gif Try to add more variations in the first part and adjust the last lick and you will have an amazing take.

Thanks! I have changed up the first part to make it less predictable. Also going to tweak the last lick. I would think it will be good to go.

I love it mate! The only detail that doesn't convince me is at 00:17. Those last notes are C and D sharp. I would play B and D sharp or maybe better C and B. Try it and tell me what you think.

Thanks you very much! I was actually thinking the same thing about the note choice at :17. Well, off to work for now. I will try something there tomorrow and get back to you!

Hey Gab,
Just letting you know that I won't be able to record the small part in the neo-power solo until Saturday morning. I know the deadline is before that. I'm okay if you don't want to wait and use this take. I'm still going to record a new part either way.

I also read that your band is playing with Duran Duran soon! Congrats and wishing you the best success with the shows!!

Hi Gab,
I was working with Muris upstroke lesson yesterday. Alternating downstroke and then upstroke inbetween each lick. I had to record in the backing track with a mic so I can get an example at a slower speed (120bpm).
