Hi GMC community.

I'm klasaine from L.A.
I mostly play Jazz and Rock here but as I freelance and do some recording sessions I'm required to be fairly diverse.
I'm a gear freak and I also love the theoretical aspects of music. I'll probably hang out a lot in the 'practice' area of the forum.
Bogdan invited me here via facebook and my soundcloud page.

Here's a couple of links to hear what I do ...
This is a sample of stuff from the past 23 years ... https://soundcloud.com/search/sounds?q=ken%20lasaine
More and varied ... http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cf...p;content=music
Some solo jazz guitar (levels are all over the place, sorry about that) ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPTn3mHGRqY...re=results_main
More youtube ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6Fs1oWfwOc...re=results_main

I hope you like some of it. I'm looking forward to talking with all you guys and gals here at GMC.

Peace and happy new year! - KL

Hi!

I'm new around here, myself, but they seem like a real friendly and helpful bunch. smile.gif

I enjoyed the interplay of guitars on "Ghost Town -- Standing on This Ground"! Tasty keys, too.

Welcome to GMC Ken! smile.gif I checked out your youtube vids. I love your style. When you don't give credit for the arrangement (youtube), does that mean you arranged it? There seems to have been a lot of interest in Jazz recently. You may have seen the Jazz Lick of the Day Archive, but here it is in case you hadn't seen it. There are tons of resources here. Hope to see you in the forum & the chats! smile.gif

Thanks for the welcome all.
If I didn't give arrangement credit on the 'chord melody' stuff then it's my arrangement.

I'll also mention that I'm married and have a little 3 year old boy.

Lots of great lessons here! Lots of great players/teachers too!
I'm especially looking forward to diving into the Balkan lessons as well as all of the other ethnic (for me) music styles.
