Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 7.5 or higher.

Original lesson: Picking Hand Basics by Ben Higgins
I don't think I'll pass, but still putting it I focused the camera on my right hand because the focus was, according to me, on alternate picking, This post has been edited by Yash: Jun 15 2012, 06:13 PM -------------------- Play with emotion. Playing with all technique and no emotion makes you boring. And most importantly, Make faces while bending.

Hi Yash, it's good to see a video from you
Ok, on to the take. Your picking technique itself is good.. it sounds consistent and looks relaxed. The only thing that counted against you was that you lost the timing somewhere in the triplets.. but the actual picking part was really good so if you can do it and stay with the beat and don't get slightly behind, then you'll nail this piece ! -------------------- |

You did a very good job! Your right hand is fine technique is fine! You need to work on timing and synchronization between left and right hands! I would suggest to practice at a very slow tempo using a metronome! It might take a while but you will get great results in the end! Just do it slow and make sure you have a full control over your hands!
