First Record and Upload – Help me ohmy.gif

Hello GMC people!

I've been trying to learn how to rec my guitar to join the "REC Program".
Before trying a GMC lesson I did my first attempt on "Hotel California" solo. I recorded the guitar on Cubase and I connected GT10's USB output directly on the computer. Adobe Premiere was used to sync the video + audio.

Andrew Cockburn said:
"Most people find that about 50% of their abilities disappear as soon as they are being recorded …but video is brutally honest!"

I though I would only notice my difficulties on bending and vibrato but I also noticed something else that really worried me:
The undesirable movements of my pinky!

Do you had/have the same problem? Do you know how to solve it?
I began practicing some of Danilo Capezzuto's "Finger Independence Lessons" but nothing happened until now...

Any comments will be appreciated.
Thanks!

Wow, that is a fiercy pinky, particularly much moving around when using 1. and 3. finger.
Just had to comment, don`t have any special tips, except the lessons you`ve already begun learning wink.gif

And, very nicely executed solo! smile.gif

Yeah, there's some ups in it from what I saw. It's not strict alternate and I'm not sure it would NEED to be strict alternate pick at this tempo. He's playing a song, not an exercise smile.gif

I see you have some problem with your pinky indeed. I suggest you to practice some very simple chromatic exercise, where you have to use all the 4 fingers. You will need many patience to correct this movement.

Hello People! Thanks for the feedback.

I'm so worried about my pink 'cause this also happens with other fingers.
I saw in the video that when I'm using (for example) fingers 1, 2 and 4, the finger 3 bends/contracts and it is not close to the frets when I need it…

Thanks to Kaznie for the advice on YouTube: I wasn't using alternate picking properly.

I'm still anxious to send videos to the "REC program" but before I will practice alternate picking a lot !

Anyways, more feedbacks are always good!

See you soon Dudes! wink.gif
