Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: D Minor bending by Laszlo Boross

Hi everybody! i'm working on bending and i come up with this. Actually i'm experiencing some problems with precise pitch intonation, in particular i recognise that the pitch isn't perfect only if i play the bent note along with the right note like in the last part of the video but only at low speed... can't wait to receive your helpful advice! thanks guys! p.s. i'm working my vibrato too with Ben's last lessons (thanks Ben!) but it'll take some time...

Hey an - great take !

Your pitch here is really, really good ! I can't find anything wrong with it at all smile.gif

The only things that weren't 100% for me were just some moments of awkwardness when moving from one phrase to another. This might have been because you weren't 100 confident with some of the licks... to make things better, you need to reduce the amount of pausing between phrases. This comes naturally with experience and confidence in what you're playing.

Good work ! cool.gif

I totally agree with Ben on this one! Experience will form your hands and if you practice in the right way, it'll bring good habits in your playing! Good going Kalidia!

I liked it!Timing was good! And I liked the energy!
A few things can be improved!
- Bending sometimes you are a little bit off when you are bending
- Switching from phrase to phrase sounded a little off to me you can work on the connection paying it in slow tempo and you will be great!
- Also your guitar sounded out of tune maybe you can set up your intonation? Because a few times it sounded off the tune when you played on the 12 fret....

hi man! the take is ok and it just needs some little adjustments to be a flawless take. Your timing could be tighter, it's not bad but it need a bit to be perfect. The same happens with the bends, most of them are perfect but there are some that are a bit out of tune. You vibrato sounds and looks good. As the other guys said, with some more practice you will feel more comfortable playing this one. Keep on working hard! wink.gif
