Alright, after some last adjustments to the pickup and volume pot, I am finally finished with my seven string! The original plan was to have a chrome pickguard as well, but that idea have to wait for another time for various circumstances.

Anyways, here is what I started out with:

And here is what I am enjoying now:

Not really that much changes that has been done, but I think the overall look got improved (even more when I sometime will change the pickguard!), and the with the new BKP Aftermath, the sound surely improved!

I have also installed new planet waves locking tuners. Some minor unfortunate installing problems, but once installed they work pretty awesome biggrin.gif
Only downside is that they are supposed to auto-clip the strings, and they have some problem with cutting the low B-string, but that`s just a detail.

As you can see, I have also removed the tone and pick-up switch, since I only wanted one pickup. The volume pot has been changed to a Shadow Kill-pot, which is a killswitch as well as volume pot biggrin.gif The volume knob is from Q-parts.

So, what do you think of my little project? smile.gif

Yep, that was my intetion smile.gif Only problem is that I can`t find my video cam, so I might have to shoot the entire thing with a web cam tongue.gif

This is my best so far! Not too deep, but deep enough to get the effect! currently, I have tuned it in drop G#, and I`m using 0.11-strings + 0.60 on the low B/G#. Even though I have relatively thick strings, bending and vibrato is super smooth thanks to the scalloping smile.gif

Nice, I love scalloped necks. Finished scalloping a stra-copy last summer smile.gif Although I might have gone a bit too deep myself.
60 in G#? Wow, I have 09-59/60 B standard laugh.gif

Add:
The guitar looks epic. Awesome job! wink.gif Gotte love bkps

I had a 0.70 lying here as well, but it didn`t fit the nut blink.gif

For the record, it will mainly be used in B standard, it`s just that I am learning some periphery songs now. And thanks for the kind words smile.gif

And here is as promised: a quick demo of the reborn guitar!

I did not spend much time planning, editing or recording, which is unfortunately very easy to hear tongue.gif And you can hear a fizzling sound the last 40 seconds...which is my amp failing me, and denying me to play anymore tonight.
Also, the sound got almost too distorted, so I am not completely satisfied with sound in this demo.
I will with time, post something better, but enough talking smile.gif

...and sorry for the fisheye effect, didnt think it would be that annoying before I watched the vid myself laugh.gif

Haha, NOW I am ashamed! This post is over 3 years old, and just two months ago I finally completed the project 100%! Didn`t knew it was THAT long ago!
Anyways, here is a crappy picture of how the guitar finally ended up. Will post better when I have the chance smile.gif
