I love looking at old and vintage gear but really they are just for collectors. I just keep thinking was guitar building better in those days?
 If so then modern manufacturers need to re think their building techniques if they can't improve over 50 years. Definately about the hype and rarity I think. But having said that if I had the money I'd probably but it

I guess it reaches a point where it's not what it's actually worth, but what some rich dude is willing to pay for it. Like with art, etc.

I found a Gibson 57 les paul goldtop for sale in brussels....with paf's...57 is the year they changed from P90 to PAF..
The guy who sells it says it's allmost the same but it doesn't have the peter green -clapton- kossof mythical stories behind it ..... Anyways ..i can go check it out and hopefully play it.... |
