You should be proud! I like it quite a lot.
The sound at the beginning reminds me about Carlos Santana a bit.
Solo is very nice and the "mistakes" you mention do not diminish the overall quality of the piece!

My 2 Cents!
Cheers

Great recording man, The distorted rhythm guitars need a bit more presence in the mix, Maybe duplicate the tracks and pan it left right, and add a tiny bit of volume, And it should sound ace man.

The guitar work is great too, This sounds very professional, Keep it up wink.gif

Yoh man

Your sound is great. Good gear you have.

I liked the whammy bar dive's

It is a great track and it shows that you don't alwaya have to play at 130 BPM to sound great

You did a great job. I didn't hear the mistake to be very honest, But you may have mist a note of what, nothing to worry about.

Question:
Did you use a tab for this? If so pls publish it.
Did you play with the orinial CD or is it a backing track? Mayby you could let us know where you have got it from or post it?

Cheers mate

I like the recording, but I have a few comments.
Be careful when you bend, take care of the intonation.
I think would be much better the lead guitar with a little less delay.
You could make other mix and try to balcane better the whole band and give a little eq to the guitars (they sound a little "dark").

I really liked those harmonics that Satriani always does, you emulate those with perfection.

biggrin.gif
Keep the recordings comming.

thanks for the feedback Ramiro!! yeah i will continue working on my bends for sure smile.gif

and for the delay... since i dont have a delay unit, i placed delay after recording it(using the effects on audacity) and i took like 10 minute just to load that delay (processing was really sloow) so i didn't tweaked to much on it. but i will adjust the delay when i will have my delay pedal smile.gif

i found a tab of it on ultimate guitar. i did not made it but its a really accurate tab. Obviously the only thing is that it does not include the solo i created to fit the shorter backing, but if you want i can translate it smile.gif

That's a powerful song by Satriani and I think you did a great job bro. smile.gif Yeah sure it isn't perfect but who cares. You knew that. But hey you should be very proud of yourself. The tone was solid, timeing was good, you had a great rhythmic feal for the song, it sounded cool and like you where having fun playing.

Way to go!! cool.gif

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

Hey that's great smile.gif

Just as Ramiro mentioned, I would reduce the delay to let the guitar stand out smile.gif

That was a great recording smile.gif
The rythm guitars should be a little higher in the mix and a little less delay
on the solo guitar would make it even better I believe smile.gif

But good overall sound and well played!!

Thanks for sharing smile.gif

Well, if you were using some other software (Reaper, Cubase or similar) you could put some VST delay effect, so it wouldn't process a whole track, but were working in real-time, just like a pedal - this way you could tweak it as much as you want to smile.gif and not loosing your original recording.

As for the song - I really like this performance smile.gif Maybe except for some missed bends, just like Ramiro mentioned.

Nice, I didn't listen to that melody for years, it's beautiful. Thanks for reminding me of old days when I played Satch.

Overall very good, fine!
There are few bending mistakes, I think you'll be fine!
