Why don't ex-girlfriends just leave you alone when you've made it evident that you don't want to see or talk to them?

We're certainly not a couple anymore and we're not friends either. Leave me alone. You have another guy, go talk to him.

EDIT: I suppose I should also say that I don't dislike my ex, but she's not exactly the first person I think about in the morning. Besides, she has another guy, and I don't have another girl which makes things harder for me.

When kris finds the time, expanding on the 101 lessons would be excellent. And we need a Shawn Lane Legato style lesson , Imo.

Why can't I have both the EMGs and a JB/Jazz combo in my guitar?
Why don't I have money to buy all the guitars and amps and stuff I want?

im hungry

Posted by: MickeM Jun 14 2007, 11:17 AM

The neighbours cat is always in my lawn (get our of my yard!!!). I hose it but it keeps coming back. Once it was stuck in my garage for a couple of days. The neighbours were soooooo worried since it's an indoor-cat. If it is, why the he** is it always in my yard?
It's also been locked into my other neighbours garage. Wtf
Two of my kids are at risc to develop allergy to cats (fur animals) so it shouldn't be around here at all, which I also told the neighbours about but since the cat is still running lose they don't seem to care.

Andrew, I ate Naproxen some years ago, there were no problem with alcohol. Doctors are such chicken... it's either that it it's me who have no problem mixing alcohol with drugs laugh.gif

And I will take tips on how to keep the cat away.

haha I'm positive that would work... In fact, I can already see the front page on the paper - "A 37-year old father of three was arrested today after excessive cruelty to a cat in the otherwise so calm area. He shot the cat repeatedly, with a pelt gun, in from on all the kids in the playground. Appearantly he had been using Naproxen together with alcohol and went fataly insane before he went on a killing spree. Appearantly he was a member of GMC which may be terrorist cell or a form of network for exchange of ideas for terrorism acts. Police are looking into it now and have sent the swat team to find their spiritual leader, Kristofer Dahl"

...but sure Eat-Sleep-and-Jam, I am concidering it. If I had a gun loving teenager in the house I just might have got him a pelt gun for present to sort of get the job done and someone else gets the blame laugh.gif
Why don't you come and visit? wink.gif

Kristofer Dahl, our spiritual leader. biggrin.gif

"....We belive the GMC Terrorist cell uses weapons that are similar in appearance to a guitar, but apparently when you play a cool lick, bullets fly out of the headstock, plans of taking over the UN And making the represenatives dance like little girls has been leaked and police officials are worried."

Posted by: Pavel Jun 14 2007, 04:40 PM

Well - i have 6 exams to pass in these 2 months so i guess there won't be much lessons from me in this period. Also - i won't be able to buy my 7-string as soon as i expected it. So - generally - it sucks all the way!

And also i didn't even touch my guitar for the past 3 days so that sucks also! I HATE UNIVERSITY!!!

Complaint numero uno:

My job has started to suck. Used to like it for the cool, creative people, the nice perks, the socializing atmosphere... Ignored the fact that writing educational programs and websites is BO-ring.

And then our boss decides to secure his pension and merge with another company of total corporate gray-blue hyperboring losers, for whom creativity means running the opposite way around the lake when they're exercising (exercising = what all consultants do, because "it's what consultants do").

They've killed our coolness (by their very being), our perks, our Friday bar, our fun. In return for giving us massive time management sheets to fill out, and lots of worries about this month's return-on-investment for the company blink.gif

The upside... is to be found upstairs - right above my current workplace. A cool media company who does other stuff than multiple choice questions and drag/drop exercises, and encourages people to be creative. Time to look around (or up) for new opportunities.

"It has now come to our attention that the spiritual leader of the GMC cult may have had run ins with Stockholm police in the past, for numerous accounts of cruelty to a pentatonic minor. Says Jutta Lindström, a member of the Stockholm Association for Protection of Pentatonic Youth: 'We can all imagine what it's like to be in a state of pentatonia, and yet this man has countless helpless victims on his consciousness'.

On his GMC website, the self-proclaimed "Mad Axeman of GMC", Kristofer Dahl, admits that he's 'all about building aggressive tension' in society and that the organization's members are 'all angry as hell'.

why do I have to choose between spending time with the g/f or going out with friends friday night to go 4x4ing.
she doesnt get off till 11pm and there's like a 50/50 chance she'll get off early.

I go 4x4ing and she gets off early, I'm the bad guy, I dont go 4x4ing and she doesnt get off early I end up bored as hell.

Thats my backup plan! smile.gif

Well I'm taking her out for dinner on saturday night either way. but yeah I'm gonna go 4x4ing because I end up spending the weekend with her anyway.

hmmm....my complaint for the day:

I hate that I have to go to work every day that I don't have class.

I hate that I have nothing better to do than play guitar at home (though it's lots of fun...it'd be nice to have some other options).

I hate that I haven't written any stories/poetry in a month.

I hate that I never read...cause I love good books.

that's it for now...

Is that possible??? I mean, when the string breaks it looses it's tension so it actually has no "strength" to hit you. I'm very surprised you managed to cut yourself!

It can happen if your bending the high e string like around the 20th fret, since its under more tension and closer to the point where it breaks (assuming its at the bridge) it can slide rather fast under your finger and cut you, it happend to me about a month ago.

You know if somebody wants to show how he can play certain song of such a great musician/player like Vai, at least he could learn it the right way, with no mess-ups!! He did a massacre to the song!! I already said in our first topic about it that you can all be better than him! He plays guitar for 10 years (source: his myspace) and for 10 years this is a very average playing.

So forget about him and grab your axe!! smile.gif

Posted by: Ayen Aug 8 2007, 08:54 PM

I was racing against my dog the other day for his treat, fell on the carpet, burned my knees, and now it hurts to walk.

The next day my friends decided to go bowling, and I was guilted into it. One of the bowling balls nearly plucked my thumb off my hand.

And I'm just starting to realize that my alternate picking really needs a lot of work because for some reason it feels more like I'm plucking the string semi-fast than just picking it.

Posted by: RobM Aug 8 2007, 09:54 PM

My complaint is that I can't buy anything right now, I thought I was about to come into a sizeable amount of money because of a law suit I have against a major pharmacy chain, now I find out they all of a sudden took the slow road and decided to be tight wads. Now it looks like I might end up having to go to court to actually get the $$ out of them. Bad part is that it takes a lot longer to get into court and make them cough up the do rae me smile.gif. Good part is that I can get a lot more than we would have settled for.

The idiot pharmacist filled a perscription for me with the wrong medication and I almost died because of it. Nice huh?

So in the long run I just might be able to buy a Really Really Really Really nice guitar instead of just a Really Really nice guitar, lol.

That, and I have to listen to my kids complain about not getting all the stuff they have been dreaminjg about right now and they actually will have to wait for it. it's just so awful, ROFL.

Here is my latest Complaint....

Yeah, so, About an hour and a half ago, im playing guitar, only been playing at that point maybe just under 3 hours, no problems, no pain, no discomfort or anything....Untill, i start playing some random stuff, and i moved my fretting hand (Pictured above) in the motion to a sweep going from the high to low e and before i finish the most intense pain shoots up from my left forearm to the center of my hand, felt as if i was stabbed, I almost dropped my guitar (Almost smile.gif ) anyway...Almost 2 hours later, plenty of pain medication, im here complaining about it.

Probably gonna see a doctor to,

To add to this, i have a job where having both hands working is highly reccommended, and i gotta work 2 double shifts sad.gif

Yeah i suppose it does, probably cant play for 2 days or so, gives me time to catch up on some reading anyway smile.gif

I guess my latest complaint would be not having any time in the day to play guitar.
I started a great new job as a shipper reciever and working 830 - 430pm there which isnt a big deal. decent shift, great wage. only about 45 mins from home. but I'm also working a second job right now which is in Vancouver which is about half an hour from my work in no traffic, but with traffic takes about an hour and a half. and by the time I get home it's 11:00 at night just enough time to get ready to go to bed. doesnt leave a whole lot of time for anything I'm afraid.
Ahwell I'll be back down to one job soon enough. Soon as I pay off some bills anyway.

Got stung five times by wasps whilst collecting the post - neck twice, leg twice and shoulder once - yesterday and then our well which supplies us with water for washing etc (but not drinking) ran dry as well. Got it refilled this morning and had to spend two hours disconnecting and reconnecting the plumbing and the pump and during all that got stung two more times by another wasp on the arm.

So I'm not a happy bunny - next wasp I see is going to get a can of Raid in its face mad.gif .

Cheers,
Tony

Over the past weekend, while out on a fishing excursion, I was roasting marshmallows over the campfire. Now, instead of using a green tree branch, I decided to use my metal 2-pronged hotdog skewer.
My way of doing this, is to set the mallow on fire, blow it out, eat the burnt part, than dive in for the left-over melted innards that are still on the stick. Needless to say, the metal prongs held in the heat from being over the fire, and viola...double lip burn.
Hows that one for a mental breakdown?

It's in the USA I believe, theres not that strong a religious prescence in the UK.

@ Andrew, I know people have different colours, but what I'm saying is that depending on what instructor visits the page, it changes the colours of some of the text in the quick reply box and the copyright in the bottom of the page.

My complaint : Local Outdoor gigs suck. If they're indoor its fine, but the moment theres some grass then people dont want to start up a moshpit, and three man moshpits are just poor.

Also, someone kicked me in the knee during the three man moshpit and it hurts like hell now. tongue.gif

I hate to randomly bleed from my nose time to time, for no reason.
I hate the fact I can't go to the doctor for a diagnostic since it's too damn expensive
I have having bleeding gums, even though I brush, floss and rinse with mouth wash everyday.
I hate the tremolo on my fender squire!
I hate the fact that my mom has a new mix CD and keeps it on an infinite loop, while I've yet to hear Framing Armageddon completely!
I hate the fact that I can't sweep pick properly!
I hate that I'm not as good as Buckethead tongue.gif

Wow a new complaint thread laugh.gif

Well i got a bunch of new gear this weekend and never even have time to use it cause im always watching the kids. Also can complain about almost every peice of gear i just got .First i got a Kustom 100dfx amp and its really nice.I love the look to it and the clean settings but i have never been more disapointed in a distortion setting on an amp in my life.It even has a gain boost and that really just gets it to sounding like classic rock distortion mad.gif

Then i got a Fender g-dec which has alot of really cool features.Only thing is i think the sound quality of the effects are lacking and i think they could have did a beter job on the 8'' speaker. The fostex MR-8 i got i cant say anything bad about. But it sucks cause i want to use it now and every time i try to put something on it i think it's not good enough and just waste an hour of my time and never get a set riff down.

My guitar really sucks right now,its so far out of whack and needs to be completly reset .The bridge saddles intonation truss rod everything, but i dont have the money right now .I even have to play in C# because how horrible it is in E tunning. mad.gif

Well, so far I've only met her once, and my impression of her was that she was the first and only down-to-earth girl I've ever met. Nothing special, but I definitely felt something.

My friend however, can't help talking about her, and personally I think he deserves her more. He's had a really rough life, and had to deal with all his exes hating me (something about them resembling that of a popular farm animal, you can guess which). This one would actually be the first that I didn't hate, and got along with pretty well. That and the girl has lots of friends, hopefully like her, that they would introduce me to.

Lonely? Yes.

Pathetic on my part? Yes

Pavel,
does it say if its a returnable deposit or not? If it's returnable I'd take the deposit now and either hold if you really must have the RC7 or look at another 7 string. If its non-returnable then I'm afraid you may well have to wait until 2008 (but I wouldn't commit any more money until they can guarantee delivery...).

Sorry can't give a better result on this one sad.gif

Wouldn't worry about forgetting the details Andrew as he seemed to reprise the entire on-going plot in the first 100 or so pages of each volume (up to vol 6 at any rate which is where I'm at). Have to say I find it a bit annoying when writers do this - I end up skipping it entirely.

Nonetheless - a real shame and sad news as he was a great writer.

I KNOW that feeling Andrew tongue.gif .

Cheers,

ps my complaint - came off my mountain bike 3 days ago. Riding behind my little one and she braked hard without warning. I slammed on and swerved to avoid her but because I was wearing SPDs couldn't stop from coming off. Smashed my left knee hard into the tarmac and the usual road rashes and cuts. Knee still swollen and hurts.

EDIT - spelling - duh

Tony....I agree to a point. Spending the money on guitars and amps is great but I'll never rent again if I can avoid it. Morgages are a pain but I don't want to give my money to someone else when I can be basically paying myself in the long run with equity....so when I'm retired and have all the time in the world I'll have money to buy all the guitar toys I want. smile.gif Also my morgage now is lower than the rent I was paying so I DO have more money to spend on guitars.

Oh and sorry to hear about the knee.....road rash is awful and it hurts for days.

rok

PS: my complaint is I am in the process of upgrading my home theater system to HD and no one in town has what I want. Now I have to have it shipped in....because I live in the booneys.....and it's gonna cost me a fortune. Plus they already broke my new TV when trying to ship it the first time....oh wooo is me.

All the ladies I've been with in the past month have been insane.
- Japanese girl who threatens that her boyfriend wants to kick my butt........after she and I have been intimate
- Korean girl that says god is the center of her world and I'm a distraction........before she and I got intimate.
she also says that I'm too happy for her, and she needs a tortured soul to be emo with her.
- Irish/German girl that shows up to the movie theater AFTER the movie is done. I know how to pick em.

People always want to hang out or call me crying when I'm trying to practice or study theory.

My lesbian friends are irresistably hot.

Everyone in my neighborhood wants to play hiphop or hiphop rock, or MTV rock.

I fart too much

I still cant play "dont stop me now" by queen because my hand starts cramping up halfway through due to all the chord changes.

5. Bad Language - if you need to use bad language to express yourself, then the chances are you could benefit from a course in English. GMC will not allow bad language to be used on the boards. We all swear occasionally, and sometimes we want to make a point on the boards, that is fine if you stick to the following guidelines:
Mild explatives that are allowed include things like damn, crap, ass and their derivatives
Any stronger expletives should not be used. These include words like s*** f*** b****** c*** and their derivatives. Putting the words in your post starred out, whilst it should be discouraged, is on the border of acceptability.

Posted by: tonymiro Oct 4 2007, 08:10 PM

My wife has borrowed all my recording stuff for the next month (console, music pc, monitors, mics etc) as she is training some people in radio production and producing a radio play. She took the stuff late last week but told me it was only for a few days - this morning she says it will be until early November mad.gif . Can't argue as we need the cashflow.

She's very kindly left me with a mini mp3 recorder and her Sony laptop - it can edit mp3s and wav files so that's one thing smile.gif but not a fair swop. She really needs to invest some cash in her own setup.

Last time she did a course I ended up having to sort out pc audio at the last moment as her (so called) pc tech hadn't done the job properly sad.gif . I'm expecting this to happen again - already know one bodge that he's done this time. He gets paid and I get the grief from a stressed out wife rolleyes.gif . I really don't want him near my pc either - last time he got his hands on it I had to do a system restore to undo his mess and reseat a lot of the internal pci cards because he had been messing about inside it mad.gif blink.gif .

Oh well the money will be good.

Cheers,
Tony

Tony,
he sounds like your classic college PC Tech laugh.gif ( i would know i was one for 4 years blink.gif )

Posted by: tonymiro Oct 4 2007, 10:22 PM

Believe or not Matt he's worse blink.gif - partly because he *thinks* he is really good with computers when he isn't so he's positively dangerous rolleyes.gif .

(Like he's so good he's filled his hard disc to bursting with downloads to the point where there is no room for the swop file and so his pc crawls along. He once fitted a new motherboard, new ram and cpu because he thought that his pc had died - it hadn't, the video card was powered intermittently through a dodgy molex so he had a black screen but didn't know to listen for the POST messages that clearly demonstrated that his mobo was ok. laugh.gif. It's his answer to everything - new mobo wink.gif )

BTW the head pc tech in my School at my UK Uni is actually a qualified time served bricky and has no background at all in pcs or networks rolleyes.gif . Lucky for him many of the staff are so pc illiterate that they need help finding the power switch so he does fine laugh.gif . I like our techs - good for a laugh and nice guys to drink with (they also have the key to the stationary cupboard tongue.gif ).

Cheers,
Tony

Posted by: mattacuk Oct 4 2007, 11:21 PM

It is amaizing how many PC techs around are like that. Alot of companys will hire just about anyone! there usual way of fixing things is to just "re-install" the OS or do a slap dash job at installing compontents.

Ive always been one for fine tuneing a pc to perform well - as opposed to just replacing or upgradeing smile.gif My PC is a few years old now, but i can gaurentee it perorms alot better than anything youll find in PC world today because i take the time to tweek and maintain it correctly.

Moi! Altho only the Scottish team, and I havent paid too much attention this week.

My complaint is that everyone at the gig I went to last night were vain posers. Standing around thinking "We're too cool to mosh".

On top of that one band was constantly out of tune which bugged the hell out of me, at one point I said to my mate "They're drastically out of tune" and the singer stopped the song five seconds later because they were.

And now I has RSI in my neck and a crippling diminished social status, if I ever had a status in the first place laugh.gif

With you there Cherio. You weren't helped by some poor ref'ing decisions - why he sent McAlister off for 10 in the first I really don't know - idiot. Also that second French try (Jauzion's) was from a forward pass.

Must say that my irritation isn't helped by England beating The Wallabies either. Now all the UK coverage is about how great England were/are (and they were not and are not) and how they will win the RWC again dry.gif ... Well if they do (and my money's on RSA although my heart wants Argentina) it'll be a case of a mediocre side winning by relying on penalties.

If you had to pick a World 15 how many England first team would be in it based on the entire Cup so far- er Andy Sheridan and Paul Sackey. Pretty poor for the cup holders rolleyes.gif .
