So Dream Theater announced they are coming to Atlanta on May 28th a while back, and I was going crazy, getting ready for the concert, trying to see how many people wanted to come. I just recently got everything settled and I went to buy the tickets on TicketMaster today, and they are SOLD OUT. OMFG I can't believe this, I don't know what I am going to do, I just can't believe it. Is there any way to get them through a marketplace or something, anything??? What I am going to do???? Sorry if I am taking this too seriously or whatever, but this is truely making me go crazy!!!!

I think there are always people selling tickets, but it'll cost a bit.

The original tickets were like $35, so how would I be able to get tickets now?

Omg, I was thinking the price would now be around $70-$80, but everywhere they are like $200, this is insane!

If you can't find some on ebay, try lurking in front of the hall before the show, sometimes there are people selling tickets right before the show (for an extra buck)

Yea, there will always be those people, and I would be willing to pay a little over, but the thing is, the concert place is about an hour and a half from my house, and I doubt my parents would allow me to drive that far, just so I can have a CHANCE to get tickets, they are already worried about me driving in Atlanta.

StubHub has some for $115. Pretty Pricey, but better than $200. http://www.stubhub.com/dream-theater-ticke...28-2008-582003/

I had the excact same problem.. I heard about a RATM concert in sweeden and started getting together some friends that wanted to go. I even got permission to loan my dad's car (mine would probably break down tongue.gif). When everything was planned I checked the website and the tickets where sold out! Luckily, I checked with the page every now and then, and about a month later they added more tickets! I quickly bought them and the next day it was sold out again smile.gif

So the moral is: set the ticketmaster page to your homepage and if they release more tickets, you'll be the first to know.

Well I have already found tickets from ebay for $80 a piece, but most likely I will just forget about it and just make it a lesson learned like Erik said.

I mean wait for a re-release! If they release MORE tickets, you gotta act fast. So keep checking the ticket site. It's not that likely that they will release more tickets, but they might..

If you are so crazy about seeing them whats the big deal in paying 80 or 200 dollars? Are they not worth it?

Last week I seen a Jeff Lang concert in the closest city. The gig was only $20, the plane trip was $550. wink.gif Well worth it.

I personally would pay $80-150 to go see them because, but my two friends who are going would most likely not, since they aren't as big of fans as me, but want to go with the $40 price. If I don't have someone talking to me while driving I ALWAYS fall asleep, even if the radio is blasting, and my parents aren't comfortable with me being in downtown Atlanta by myself (I am only 16).

Just persuade your buddies to come along, and you'll have a blast together. You can add a little money for the tickets maybe if you don't care how much you wanna spend.

Anyone have any idea on how much ticket scalpers outside the event sell tickets for? I have never done it. Say if the ticket is face value $40.00, how much would the ticket scalper price be?

oh, btw. that falling asleep thing. take that seriously. it happens to a lot of people. just the road causes it. I used to do that in classes in college some, especially for the MBA when I was going at night. You can't fight it, it has to pass. pull over if that happens. very dangerous to keep going. you can just stop for a half hour, and then you will be fine.

You could look for scalpers outside of the concert. laugh.gif Oops, sorry, I didn't know that had already been suggested. Here I am thinking I was smart...
