GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ Greetings

Hello GMC
I've just joined the site. My name is Khalid and I am from Qatar. 22 years old , been playing for about 9 months. I love all kinds of music but I never saw myself learning any instruments, then one day I was with one of my friends and he played some riffs on his guitar and that got me interested in learning about it.
I was just drawn to the guitar and all the different kinds of music you can create with it, and decided that I HAVE to learn how to play 
. Anyways the past 9 months were not easy and I wanted to quit more times then I care to remember but that's not really an option now lol
In the end I would just like to thank you guys for your lessons they cover everything I ever wanted to learn about.

Hey Khalid and welcome to GMC!
It's great that you discovered this site as soon as you started playing guitar, I wish I did! You will surely get a LOT of useful advice here, as well as lessons of course. Good luck in your guitar playing, if you need anything just ask! And yes, there will be times when you want to quit, but nothing is easy and if you endure, your guitar will reward you!

What sort of music do you like ?
Thank you all for the welcome
.Ben, I like pretty much anything that sounds good to me, but my main favorite bands include Kamelot, Dream evil, Dream theater, Three days grace, BFMV, Metallica,Megadeth, Ensiferum, Led zeppelin and a lot more : P.
On guitar (apart from the rock and metal) I really like playing neoclassical and rockish blues.
