I think we all can agree on that the MTP has been a tremendous success. I was just wondering if GMC has any plans for a singing MTP?

This could be a good idea I think. Let wait and see what Kris has to say about it. I'm sure a lot of members would wanna learn to sing (while playing guitar).

Being part of the MTP I think it has been going awesome. This can open up the MTP in a direction that everyone can participate it.

I see this going to a structured or tiered system if people are involved. It can get the newest people in on mentoring onto the experts.

For example.

1.Fred signs up to GMC (Interested in being Mentored)
2. Fred needs to learn about the guitar (Scott has already went through this and can mentor the new blood)
3. Scott completed and needs to start learning theory and basic rhythm pattern. Dave just finished that and can Mentor Scott.
4.Dave just complete theory basics and needs to learn advanced theory and introduction into lead playing. Dan just completed this and can mentor Dave.
5. Dan just finished advanced theory and introduction to lead playing. Wants to begin learning advanced solo techniques and advance improvisitaion skills. This can introduce them to Muris, EMir, Pedja, or any instructor that can teach a specific style of playing.

It can be cool and has a lot of potentional. It also can be structured where there are mentors that teach specific aspects of playing. One mentor only teaches theory, another only teaches technique.

ANy way.. smile.gif

Great idea about Singing Mtp !

I think Luciana would do great job on mentoring everybody interested. I read her topic a while ago where she asked if members would like to do some singing over existing guitar lessons on GMC (or something similar along those lines).
Also, I like how Opeth described his approach to Mtp, that looks cool as well smile.gif
