I dont try this model but in minimodels i tried the MS-4 (only 4 watts) and sounds ok to practice... but when i used it with the Zoom G7 and some pedals i had.... wow!!! i cant believe the sound that this litlle thing did!!!

So my suggestion is TRY IT! and if you`re gonna to use some pedals, try it with your pedals

I have this little Marshall with a double speaker. I can tell you it rocks smile.gif Only make sure your battery is in good condition. It uses one 9V battery or an adaptor. Once I miked it and put on a proper PA system. Wow man, that was the sound smile.gif This video of me playing Vinnie Moore song was played on that Marshall. Just its pure gain, no pedals. You don't see it on this video but you can hear and get the idea. Video is also not good quality because it was a web camera.

Can't say I like the Marshall Micro Stacks. The sound isn't very good in my ears.. I actually buildt an amp myself with a speaker that is about the same size (a satelite speaker from a creative PC speaker set) and it sounded a little better actually tongue.gif

Anyways, I would rather go for the Micro Cube from Roland (actually I ordered one two days ago biggrin.gif ) it's slightly bigger and a little more expensive, but it sounds waaay better and it's totaly worth it IMO.

Just my two cents

I'll never play another Marshall after getting my Framus amp. It blows every single one out of the water. My Framus amp was so great I sold my 1982 Marshall JCM 800.

I'd get a tiny Orange amp but I'm not sure how small they go.

Well, although that Microstack has only 15W, don't forget it has 2x10" speakers, and I think that baby can really rock! The sound won't be that great, but it's a perfect gift for a starting guitar player smile.gif
