Has anyone been able to check out Pro Tools 8? It's set to be released in November. Has anyone actually been able to see it in action? If so, what do you think? I would like to upgrade, but I'm always a little cautious of the first new major release of any software product. However, Digidesign hasn't let me down before.

It looks, finally they put the option of editing midi on score music notation, I suggested that long time ago, I guess there were a few more requests.

It looks good, but actual performance and requirements is what I would like to know, I don't want to have to buy a new computer because it won't run on mine, I guess I'll have to wait and test

That's one of my concerns as well. But, I would think they put a lot of consideration into making it run with minimal resources, but you never know. I do like all of the Plug-ins that come with it. At an upgrade price - somewhere around $125 that's not a bad deal for what you get. But yeah, if you have to shell out for some extra memory, etc. to use it, that would be a problem.

That's pretty cool. I guess many will stay on older versions for some time, but it is good to know that things are moving in Digidesign lair smile.gif I'm waiting Nuendo4, and insert/send drag and drop function biggrin.gif

Someone said it's gonna need a lot more PC power then older versions,
doesn't have to be true tho, just a rumor.
But it usually goes like that dry.gif
