Hey Pavel, Im looking at replacing the IBZ/USA's in my RG 750. I 've had this guitar since 1989 and these pups just seem to be a little dull overall. I'm looking at doing the full EVO replacement and was wondering how you would describe their sound from your experience. I've seen them described as a 'Live Performance" pup in some reviews so I wondered what you thought of them as a recording pup? Thanks.

To me their sound is "warm and screamy" - even straight into the amp they sound amazing, full and warm smile.gif

Having a good distortion pedal doesn't hurt - EVO's own big time with good sounding distortion - not ZzZzZzZ but the real medium-fat distortion sound. A bit of delay and you will start feeling live Vai on stage laugh.gif laugh.gif
