It was a pretty good fight. Not really how I thought it would go down but Forrest has shown he deserves to be up there with the best. I like both Forrest and Rampage but was routing for Forrest just cause he trains with Randy Couture and well I love everything Randy Couture smile.gif

Actually UFC 86 was a pretty good event. It will be interesting to see Anderson Silva go up in weight class against Irvin on the 19th... but I'm interested to see Emelianenko and Silvia over at the Affliction event too. Also I think the GSP-Fitch fight should be a good one in August. Lots of great MMA action coming up I'm so excited smile.gif

Cool, im a big mma fan as well, really looking forward to Emelianenko's next fight, he's still the best in the world in my opinion, with Anderson Silva as runner up for best pfp fighter.

I haven't seen many of Emelianenko's fights but I sure hope he knocks out Silvia... I can't stand Silvia he;s so boring. But Couture is still the man IMO in the heavyweight division and a Couture/Emelianenk fight would be great.

Anderson Silva is amazing and your right PFP there is not much better. It will be interesting to see if the rumors are true about GSP moving up in weight to fight him sometime next year. I think that will be a crazy fight if it ever happens.

Yeah that would be amazing, i think Emelianenko vs Couture is down the road, maybe october if you get a chance you should watch some of he's fights, he's style is unorthodox but very effective, he got insane speed for he's size as well smile.gif

Is Emelianenko fighting Tim Silvia? That should be no contest for Emelianenko. If he comes over to the UFC, I don't think anybody can beat him. Of course, like all the others, age will become a factor sooner or later. I hear that Mark Coleman is back in business. He is a beast at 255 lbs, but he's 43...we'll see. Also, John Fitch will give GSP a hard time, but I will be surprised if GSP loses. He's just so good...a class act too. I think James Irvin will be a good matchup for Anderson Silva. The Sandman is an awesome fighter with quick knockout power. But Anderson Silva is a complete fighter. We'll see how he does in the 205 lb. class. Real exciting stuff coming up for sure.

p.s. Randy Couture and Chuck Lidell are my all time favorites. Both of these guys are ferocious, intelligent fighters, and real class acts.

Are you kidding me? I used to watch UFC a lot but I can't afford it now, so I try to keep up with it by renting the DVDs through NetFlix, watch videos here and there, seeing the shows at gatherings sometimes at sports bars etc.

But I can't believe that that Forrest Griffin idiot won over Jackson, I didn't see the fight, but I can tell you Jackson is 10x better than Griffin, maybe Jackson was just having a bad day, but did you see when he MANHANDLED Liddell TWICE? Who was like the 7x defending champion at the second time or something?

This is just going to be just like how George St. Pierre got a suprising win over a seemingly invulnerable chamption (Matt Hughes), only to have his ass handed to him by some random throwback guy who got throwout of the UFC because he sucked and only got back in by some reality show. Next thing you know, they throw him up there with St. Pierre, thinking to see him get annihilated, but hell what do you know Serra actually won lol!

Like I said, this is just like that fight, Griffin came off the reality show as well and in his next fight he will be humiliated by some random guy, just luck for him this time.

Agreed, with BJ Penn right behind Anderson.
Fedor over Sylvia by armbar in the first round.

Forrest has really improved a lot and has a lot of heart, but he definitely doesn't have the skill set or the power that Jackson has. The fight went to a decision and it's quite controversial, especially considering Jackson knocked down Forrest in the first round and 2 of the judges actually gave the first round to Forrest. The response to the decision is varied both among Internet people and even the fighters themselves. It looks as though there is going to be an immediate rematch according to several sources.
