Hey guys, welcome to my first collaboration here, i would love to have a lot of takes on this one, i love how the backing track sounds, i put a lot of effort into the mixing so you guys can rock it, and it's also a very easy chord progression to solo on top.
you can play the whole thing on the A blues scale basically, here is it:
again, i would love to see a lot of takes, and if you can record video let me know, maybe i can take all the video takes and make a video collab
here is the backing track, the deadline is oct 31
Jam_Track.mp3 ( 11.72MB )
: 260
by the way, you can get a feel of what you may play on the original song:

And just to clarify, you can play as long as you want on the backing track, it is pretty long i know, but my idea is to take everyone´s best bits and make a final cut.
Haha great tune,come one guys
thank you sinisa
bump!
Sure mate, I'm in :) I'm quite busy with college these days but I'll definitely record something before the deadline ;)
great backing, i have some cool idea for some experimental blues , but if you going to video collab i think i gonna have to wait for the next collab
great guys, can't wait to see your takes!
and monkey, let's make it audio only then, that will be better for now!
Nice, I'm in!
GRREAT guitarrero, nice to have you on board!
hey guys, how is it going ?
anyone else?
still working, i have some parts done, but need to re-write others
I'm in man!
I'll jam over the whole thing and get video of it. Maybe from that there will be a few seconds of "good stuff" That will give you a good picture of my improv skills too so you can comment.
perfect guys, we have some more days, just send it over when it's done
What a cool backing!
Thank you gab, it does sounds cool i think !
6 days to the deadline dudes!
Adrian, Can I get an extension? I just started jamming on this tonight. It would be great to have a few extra days.
i am with James, i still haven't came up with anything decent for the whole thing xD
i guess it's ok dudes, go ahead, no entries so far so nobody´s going to wait
I just noticed how kick a$$ this backing is. I love all of the detal & subtleties. Tremolo on that one part is cool!
Hi Adrian !
I guess I'll be the first . I wasn't sure if I will finish until today because I saw this collaboration a bit late and I didn't want to join until I had something. Anyway, since we have an extension for the deadline, this would be an intermediate where I kindly ask you to give me some feedback . I can record a final one before the next deadline.
The last part was done on the spot, just left the rec on but the first two parts are where I put the work in. So.. Please tell me what you think
From what I understood we will do audio only, right ?
thank you man, i put a lot of love into my lessons and i love recording so.. thanks!
I like it a lottt.
Ok Adrian. Here it is. The video is out of focus a little bit, but the audio should be good. I'll upload the separate audio track as well in case you need it. This recording was taken from the best of several improvised takes. It was a good track to try out some effects. So I recorded parts with a Bass Octaver, a Tube Overdrive, and an MXR style phaser. The amp model is based on a 1929 Gibtone EH-185 (POD HD500). Sorry for the bad video. I'm kind of out of time for the week cause I've got a long day at work tomorrow. Would you believe that this video was shot with my new Canon 60D? I have to figure out how to get auto-focus to work continuously while shooting video. You'll notice that the door in the background is perfectly sharp. That's cause I autofocused it before I stepped into the shot. Got any pointers on shooting videos with a DSLR?
Anyway, I hope you like the tune. It was great fun jamming over your backing track...
