Here my answers:
1) Being a better bedroom player, able to play my favourite tunes
2) switching from one lesson to another without finishing any and therefore not getting anything from them
3) I am willing to learn
4)how difficult to answer. Many of them. Edge, Gilmour, Summers, Santana, Richards but Joao Gilberto and Martin Taylor as well.

Carmine

Great! I will help you with your goals and you will be better than just a bedroom guitar player!!!!
Here are a few things to start with! I have created a backing track for you to practice!
http://soundcloud.com/alex-feather-akimov/carmine-mentoring
The chord progression is very simple
G - C9 - Em7 - D
G major

C major9

E minor7 Gilmor version

D major

Since I have never heard you play before I would like you to record a little solo over this track
We will analyze it together and I will start giving you licks and exercises to work on!

For now I made a Guitar pro file with all the modes in a key of G major I would like you to use some of those as well!
Attached File  All_Modes_in_G_major_.gp5 ( 3.04K ) Number of downloads: 111

You can also play
E minor pentatonic

A minor pentatonic

B minor pentatonic

Here is the tab for all modes in G major

just 40 seconds playing the E minor pentatonic (the only scale i know, I am afraid). Please note, at the moment I can not record the backing track. I should solve this little problem within few weeks.

I want to start with a few licks that you can start practicing it will help you develop your own phrasing and will help you grow as a guitar player!

Here is a few blues licks I made
They are in key of G major and based on E minor pentatonic!

You don't have to play them fast!
A good way to start is to start practicing them very slow and try to build up the speed! Or you can keep them slow and turn them in to your own licks! The good thing about those exercises is that they will fit any style of music and you can use them in any key!
Those are the basic licks but they are very useful!!!
I also wanted you to practice different pentatonics using the backing track!
You can play:
A minor blues pentatonic

B minor blues pentatonic

E minor blues pentatonic

Here is a very good exercise you can do!!!
Take all three pentatonics and try to create your own licks by combining them!
Here is an example:
                           Pentatonic combination

Track 1
S S S S S S S S S S S S S S S S S S S S S S S S S S S S S S S S
E||-------------------------------7-10-|----7-10---7-10---------------------|
B||------------------------7-8-10------|--8------7------5-8-5---------------|
G||------------------7-8-9-------------|----------------------8-7-5---------|
D||------------5-7-9-------------------|----------------------------7-5-7---|
A||------5-6-7-------------------------|------------------------------------|
E||--5-7-------------------------------|------------------------------------|

Try creating your own combinations!!!

I am starting to learn the first three licks. Shameless, I post them here. Very slow and as usual could not record the backing track.

http://youtu.be/iT-Wz9OWYiE

Wait for your comments and instruction on how to proceed.
Goodnight

You did a very good job! Try to learn the rest and make another recording using the backing track!
Tomorrow I will give you two more exercises to work on your vibrato and bending!
They are really cool and easy but very helpful!!!
You are a very fast learner and doing very well I think you will see a huge progress in your playing in a couple of months!

These licks are really challenging, I thought it was just to check which level I was. I recorded two more, here the link

Can you point me to some lessons here at GMC where I can get some insight? I am at the Ivan's pentatonic workshop now.

You are doing a very good job
Those licks are hard when you are starting to learn them but as you go along it will get easier!
Here is a good lesson I found on GMC it's not that hard and those are some cool licks!
https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/12_blu..._you_must_know/
Also try to combine pentatonics together and create your own licks!
Let me know if you have any questions!

I believe you can! That's how you learn you have to push yourself! It's like working at the gym you gain when you pushing yourself harder!
You don't have to go over the board and play them super fast! Do the best you can and sooner you know it you will improve!
I believe in you and you have to believe in yourself!
YOU CAN DO THAT!

Will try...will try

While I was playing the first of them, I noticed that I could play easily if the heel of my right hand was anchored to he bridge, almost, if not, the whole bridge. Is it fine?

This is the first of the 12 licks:

You did a good job on this lick!
If it's easier for you to play this way you can do that I would love to see a video of your right hand so I can get a better idea!
When you will learn those licks I would like you to start creating your own using pentatonic combining technique that I explained!
If you can make a video of let's say two licks and post it here as well!
Looking forward to hear your ideas!

Here are some ideas about combining penatonics:
You can take
Ami pentatonic

B minor pentatonic

Take parts from both and create your own licks!
Here is an example:
E |----------------|----------------|--5-------------|----|----------------|
B |----------------|--------5--7----|-----7--8--7----|----|----------------|
G |----------------|----------------|----------------|----|--5--7--4--7----|
D |-----------4----|--5-------------|----------------|----|----------------|
A |--------5-------|-----5----------|----------------|----|----------------|
E |--5--7----------|----------------|----------------|----|----------------|

-----------5----|-----------8----|----------------||
--8--7--5-------|--8--7--5-------|--7--5----------||
----------------|----------------|--------5--4----||
----------------|----------------|----------------||
----------------|----------------|----------------||
----------------|----------------|----------------||

Attached File  licks_ideas.gp5 ( 1.83K ) Number of downloads: 108

Creating your own licks is a great idea!
First of all you are developing your own style
It is much easier to learn your own licks because you made them!
Plus you will learn neck better and will be combining pentatonics!
It should be really fun! I am looking forward to hear what you came up with!
So far you are doing very well! You are a very fast learner and very melodic player!
