GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ File I Posted Several Years Back
Posted by: Caelumamittendum Feb 18 2011, 05:09 PM
I know this is quite a long shot, but here goes:
In this thread:
http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?showtopic=18133&st=0&p=236262&#entry236262
...I posted a link to some singing of mine, a link to geocities, which by now is long gone. However I would love to have that file back, as it was one of the first things I recorded vocal wise. No one happened to have saved it on their computer? I did this on an old, old computer, which I don't have anymore, unfortunately, and didn't really see the geocities closure coming.
I know there's been a few new guys since then, so this is mainly for those from back then, but one can hope, can't he?
If anyone participated in that thread and have saved the file (it was called Enigmatica2.wav), I'm forever in debt.

You are my hero!

No problem! I'd love to take the praise, but it was still stored on the GMC forums, a quick search found it.

Ehr...where and how?
Posted by: dark dude Feb 18 2011, 06:18 PM
1) Google "enigmatica2.wav"
2) Click "repeat the search with the omitted results included."
3) Third result: "Who's Had Formal Lessons For Guitar?" is the topic.
I feel like I'm going to be kicked out of the Magician's Circle, haha.

I must be blind though, as I cannot see it looking through my attachments. Something to do with the forum it was uploaded to?

Either that, or the feature wasn't around when the original upload was made, so it didn't register, possibly?

Did you click manage your attatchments, instead of looking at recent attatchments?

Yeah, I did. Not to be found. It doesn't matter now though

Seek and you shall find Also, if you ever want to find something on the internet that used to be there and isn't anymore, try this place. It's the Internet Archive's "Way Back Machine", it saves versions of almost every page on the web as they change. It's crazy how much stuff they have backed up and you can search through it!

That site is great for sites such as geocities! Saved me at finals last year.
