What do you think of it? It only took me a week to learn, and I am an idiot. I nearly have it in good shape, just a neat song that is not too hard. http://youtube.com/watch?v=N7ICC2D_8K8 It is sort of like Canon Rock, only easier to play as it is 180bpm rather than 200, and the does not have the difficult sweeps at the end (even JerryC plays sloppy on those). -------------------- ![]() |

Yeah I have heard this it is a good song. Can you post a link to the tabs please? he has them on the video, just look under his name on the youtube video, where it says more. the download of the backing track and the tab are there. here is another guy doing it, that I like. not asian, from Norway. But real fun to watch, the kid has style. He is not left handed, just reversed it for effect, you can see that his amp name is backwards. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Lrhy2auO6hY This post has been edited by fkalich: Dec 8 2007, 06:04 AM -------------------- ![]() |

Well, Guthrie Govan used to play in a band called Asia, but I dont think that counts
Just joking, I've watched Syu's videos on youtube and I think he's great, don't know many other asian guitar players though. -------------------- Gear:

Akira Takasaki - Loudness. He is a great shredder in his own right.
Hizaki - Versailles and Hizaki Grace Project. This man and his co-guitarist have some killer chops. Although, I will warn you, he looks like a very attractive asian woman. I don't know this man's name because this band is hard to get any information on, but the band name is Scooby Do. The song is called 'Akaneiro Ga Moeru Toki'. It translates to 'When The Sunset Turns Red'. Seriously, if it weren't for this band, I don't think I would ever have had an interest in Jazz. They are all so amazing. Listen to those Bass lines, too! This next band is weird. My Japanese isn't the best, but I am pretty certain the name is 88 Pilgrimage Months. It would make sense since the name would be taken from a popular Buddhist attraction on Shikoku Island. In any case, I own both albums and they are amazing. They are all very talented musicians. The singer and bassist(Margaret Hiroshi) used to play for another amazing experimental group 'Green Milk From the Planet Orange'. Shimizu Katzuya- 八十八ヶ所巡礼 (88 Pilgrimage Months) Dead K - Green Milk From the Planet Orange. This band has more of a vintage/Jam band/Psychedelic vibe. They play intricate music, as opposed to shredding all of the time. Dead K does shred often, but he plays a lot of intricate timings at intense speeds more than anything. Syu would be my first suggestion, but you allready mentioned him yourself.
Some one posted this on GMC some time ago. Maybe not fantastic guitar, but overall amazing arrangement IMO This post has been edited by Ulrik: Jul 16 2012, 02:53 PM -------------------- |

Interesting thread! I used to hear a lot to the band Loudness, and I have been always impressed by their guitar solos.... This was a long time ago, when internet didn't exist so I could explore too much about their guitar player...
