Hoi,

After some good advise on this forum about my Ibanez Gio, I start looking for a stratocaster to buy. So now a friend of a friend is selling his Gibson WRC for about € 800,--. I tried to find out more about this one on the internet. It's build in 1987, was in production for 18 month, on gibson.com there was no info at all.
Can anybody tell me more about this guitar, sound, how does it play, or specs. Any info is more then welkom. To try it out is a 5 hour drive, is it worth the trouble?

Top or Flop??

Thanks, Janneke

I would go for it too smile.gif Unusual guitar, looks great, nice reviews...

EDIT
Hmm, I just read that you are just beginning to play?

Maybe you should find something that doesn't have a floyd rose tremolo. That Gibson has a FR and it is not really easy to handle to be honest

its probaly a collectors too, most of the gibson shredders are!

as long as you ar willing to be patient and learn how to use and take care of the floyd rose, you will be fine

If it is Gibson, and in good condition, I think it is definitely worth a drive. Gotta try it good before you buy tho..

Never heard of it! Could become quite collectable at some point too, maybe not a '59 Les Paul collectable but you never know! you have to try it though mate.

Interesting, I was about to say that this is a fake and for sure not a Gibson, but it seems to be true rolleyes.gif I didn't know they had a strat type guitar.

yeah, I imagine they made it to compete with the shredding types of guitars in the 80's

never knew it existed, Gibson must be good quality, so did you buy it?
