thanks Cosmin, it makes sense now. I'm trying to compose - not working too well. Every time I try to come up with a heavy song, it turns into a happy one too! It's crazy! I'm not getting the power I want from the mix either. http://soundcloud.com/fireball100/decimate-1 |

This sounds very nice! You could make it gloomier with some b2 nds here and there  just like the ones I used in metal metrics 1 at the breakdown in the middle. Otherwise the riffs are pretty mean! You know, the music reflects your feelings and thoughts usually - if you're not angry on anything, you won't necessarily sound mean just because you want to  but if something bugs you in life up to a point where you can't take it anymore, blast!
