Since Im so excited of that my lastest "toy" finally arrived at my local music store after months of waiting, I could'nt hardly resist to write a review of this incredible machine... As You might understand Im totally blown away by the technology vs. prize on this gear, and I'm maybe so subjective in the review - but on the other hand: It really has no competition in this prize range.....

Here's a software tip for all those people who have issues with their soundcards.
There is an excellent guide online how to use the program. What it does is actually testing audio/video streams inside the computer, and then meanwhile You can put devices on/off to visually see what is disturbing the audio/video streams. It is an invaluable tool for troubleshooting Your current audio setup no matter if Your an amateur or a pro! Btw. it's FREE!!!! Check this linkt to DPC Latency Checker. //Staffay

I've posted the embryo to this song here before, but since I finally got my best friend to come over and play some real bass + I have my amp rebuilt, I think this one sounds quite different.
It started out as a SRV -tribute kind of song with the supposed-to-be title "Stevies Mood", but since I always write songs that I can hardly play myself, I have renamed it to "Staffays Struggle". Recording notes: Fender Mexican piece'o'junk with Texas Specials Fender Hot Rod Deluxe + BOSS OD-20 Two Shure SM57 Bass lined directly and processed with Studio Devil Virtual Bass Amp Reverb & delay from TC Powercore Cubase 3.1 Mastered with T-Racks S3 and NomadFactory Max Warmth EZ Superior drums vintage All comments are welcome!!!! //Staffay

Since all the latest reports from manufactorer Steinberg say's that version 5 of Cubase finally should be error-free and run well at even the 64-bit platform, I decided to install it to my laptop and stress the App under Vista -64.
I will report any issues found here, so far it works flawless! //Staffay

Hey there! I just have to say; Your blues song for the competition rocks! It sounds like something Gary Moore himself would be jealous of! Good luck in the competition =) 28 Jul 2009 - 14:19 Friends
