Hi all!
As you know we have an ongoing http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?showtopic=26606 going on, which is working quite well, we are getting nice entries there, thanks to you guys.
When I browse our wiki, and specially when I'm reading album reviews, I realize that we are always talking about "Blues", "Speed metal" "Progressive", etc.
But we don't have so many genres covered in our wiki, we have the usual "heavy metal" & "Rock" articles, but we lack some deeper definitions & examples of so many music genres that we all love here at GMC. Now, I know some members here have a deep knowledge on these matters, so I'm calling you guys to share what you know with us. I'm building this small genre list with terms which are mentioned through our forums & wiki entries.
Just pick any of these entries and tell us what they are, name some band examples, maybe a few youtube vids, techniques associated to these styles, main guitarists... you know the drill A short, accurate definition is more than welcome too.
You can just http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/wiki/index.php/Wikipedia:Tutorial & write the entry yourself, or write it as a .doc, .txt or whatever and http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?showtopic=28609.
Ok, now time for the list . The ones that we do have include the wiki link. I'm sure I left many important styles out, so post here & I'll add them!
