Yeah.sounds good. I try to improve just a little more on the AC/DC one (I think there is still little room wink.gif ), but to be honest: I am getting tired of it!
So lets work on my groove... do you have a lesson for me ?

Sure, Cosmin. I am openminded in music and I always liked funk rock bands like Faith no more and RHCP . I like also James Brown when it comes to party making wink.gif

Hey Cos,

this lesson is fun, I learned the parts so far, now I just have to play them in the correct order wink.gif Soon I will upload a version of it.
I am also going to change my strings, bought some tools today to adjust my guitar. So far I had always tuning issues on my REC Takes and I was wondering because I always tuned my guitar before recording something. After watching Ivans tuning lesson I found out that on the 12th string the higher strings are always out of tune a little, so I will fix that later today.

great to hear man!

Honestly speaking, I have been placed in the situation where because of the cold, while I was onstage, I had to bend almost every note so that it would sound in tune. New strings will do the trick and out of what I've noticed, you have an SG which seems to be a pretty solid axe, am I right?

Yeah, an Epiphone SG. Glad to have it, it was part of a beginner bundle. When I changed the strings I noticed that I had them already more than 2 months ;( ... I am still on bassplayer mode I guess smile.gif

Hey man! No stress wink.gif let's take it easy and work it to the top!

There are a few things which would transform this into a wonderful take wink.gif

1) Your attack - you're a bit too shy with the guitar - strike it a bit harder and it will roar biggrin.gif
2) Vibrato - do you know how to use your wrist when vibrating? the results will be far better!
3) Your timing is good, but the whole take could use a bit more flow
4) The left hand is also a bit too shy when pressing the positions

All in all, if you work on these aspects, you will improve A LOT wink.gif

Yeah,sure.

I weren´t aware of the wrist vibrato technique, I used always just the finger which was picking the note. I have to practice that, but my first trys sound in deed better than the "finger technique".

I just watched some videos on the vibrato thing and I am not totally sure how to do it. Sometimes players pull off their thumps and use their whole arm and sometimes they just use their wrist for the vibrato. Which one is "correct"/ better?

Hey man!

Vibrato and bending are the key elements which have to be mastered by EVERY guitarist on this here planet tongue.gif I would be delighted to help out in this matter.

Vibrato can be done in various ways and I think that Ben's videos are one very explicit way to learn and master. Please check out this vid:

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Bens-Vibrato-Odyssey/

as for bending this one is pretty good to start with: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Beginn...String-Bending/

The key idea is that your wrist is the answer to both techniques! wink.gif you will get better with time as you start to bend and vibrate, while focusing on doing it right.

Imagine that your hand has only one finger and your wrist is the only way to move it tongue.gif the wrist executes an 'up down motion' just like you will see in the vids.

Hope this is good to start with! Let's see if you are ok with these!

HEy man, I practiced the Vibrato lesson from Ben and soon I can upload a version of it.

BTW I just bought a new USB audio device (Line6 UX2) and I hope I can record some better sounding takes with it, just have to get into Farm POD , may take some time.

Sure thing. And here it is:

MarfolsVibratoOdyssee1 wink.gif

I still have problems to do the pulloff on the 4th note ( 8th fret on B string) with my pinky, but I am working on it.
Regardless of my technique I am quite happy with the sound --> Thank you again for the POD settings!
So what do you think?
